  1. If he is still performing well on the pitch, why would his judgement of choosing a club matter to Saints?
  2. I've done my bit, retweet this...
  3. I wouldn't change my mind on that concept even if he had 10 successive relegations. I'd base my opinion on his performance rather than his team's performance.
  4. That is a nonsense line to take. You should base a player on his own merits rather than solely on the fortunes of the club he played for. Lallana, Davis and Schneiderlin were all relegated to the 3rd tier for Saints, now we are back in the 1st tier should we get rid of them?
  5. We already know Cortese is planning for 50,000.
  6. He played in midfield for Plymouth as well.
  7. Look at our starting XI that day! Davis Murty Molyneux Perry Thomas Wotton Lallana James Gillett Mills Rasiak
  8. Time for a spinoff "Bournemouth Takeover Saga" thread? Or would they start to think we are treating them as rivals?
  9. I love it when The Kraken and I agree on stuff.
  10. It wasn't the incorrect spelling of his name that got your threads closed (although that didn't help).
  11. To use the "he got relegated" line is a nonsense. Lallana, Schneiderlin and Davis were relegated to League One, should we get rid of them? Scott Parker was relegated with West Ham yet was voted the best player in the Premier League that season by football journalists. A player should be judged on his own merits, not solely on the performance of his team.
  12. If they goto Fratton Park looking for senior players to give letters to there may be a long wait, as they will be at the training ground they rent in a SO post code...! Even if they do manage to find and mob some players at the training ground and hand out letters, it isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference.
  13. Turkish, if Saints sign Dann and Lens it would be getting close to that £20m you said wouldn't be spent...
  14. He was reportedly close to joining Arsenal last year for £8m... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/8695059/Arsenal-open-talks-with-Birmingham-City-over-move-for-defender-Scott-Dann.html And again in January 2012... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12876/7425556/
  15. He was also reportedly close to joining Arsenal last year for £8m... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/8695059/Arsenal-open-talks-with-Birmingham-City-over-move-for-defender-Scott-Dann.html And again in January 2012... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12876/7425556/
  16. Apologise Thedelldays...? I was merely telling wireframebox something in a perfectly reasonable manner.
  17. Hooiveld was captain because in the 1st half Hammond and Fonte weren't playing. I think there is a reasonable chance Steven Davis might be the Saints captain next season. He has captained both Rangers and his country and will likely play more often than Hammond next season.
  18. I think you need to read it again. I'm bored now.
  19. I was merely reinforcing what the person I was responding to said.
  20. Why Kraken? I wasn't wrong, Clyne did turn 21 in April.
  21. Playing for Saints under 21's.
  22. He played the first 45 minutes.
  23. Gazzaniga has had a proper start to pre-season at Gillingham, Clyne out of contract since 30th June hasn't so far and needs to catch up. Plus it is easier for a goalkeeper to be at the right level of fitness required.
  24. Yes, but has a slight hamstring strain.
  25. Clyne turned 21 years old in April.
