Matthew Le God

He went into the middle because that is where the main threat was, as Seaborne was out of position. Very harsh to blame Shaw for that!

It was Calum Chambers. The MUTV commentator had Chambers and Curtis mixed up all game (as he did with lots of other Southampton "facts").

"In the first team" ahead of...?

No he didn't. There is no way Boruc has come here to be 3rd choice, he'll be one of our biggest earners.

Be honest which would you prefer? St Mary's today... Fratton Park next weekend...

Doesn't appear football authorities treat all clubs the same... Exhibit A http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19859492 Exhibit B

Was in the Pompey thread.

Ramirez can be seen training today in the videos on Saints Player.

BBC Solent Sport ‏@solentsport #Saintsfc midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin returned to light training today At least one of them is wrong.

If we go down we will have guaranteed money from parachute payments. £16m in 2013/14 £16m in 2014/15 £8m in 2015/16 £8m in 2016/17 Couldn't the loan be secured against them?

As I'm sure you know, I can't put it in if I don't know how much it is or when it has to be paid back. Just because it is secured against the things you mention it doesn't mean it is to the same total value as them.

Very funny. I'm leaving it how it is. "Surprised to see a mountain being made out of a molehill regarding the pause in work at Staplewood. SFC and Leadbitter have agreed to pause process whilst details of a specific aspect of the specification is confirmed. Project will be resuming very soon and both parties are looking forward to the project being completed ahead of the 2013-14 season. Nothing to be concerned about at all!" Not unless I have some solid information very quickly about how much it is, the interest rate and when it has to be paid back.

Roughly 150 posters with over 100 posts in this thread suggests more than a passing interest from a lot of people.

What about my first sentence? Also Cortese used this interview to deny the rumour the club was being sold... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/9269293.stm

Saying "we won't comment on every rumour", doesn't mean they won't comment on some. Plus, in any case it was on his personnel Twitter account, not the club's.

Who knows! But given the stadium expansion images were as recent as this summer and it was a summer which saw Saints the 7th highest spenders in Europe it appears the club still holds great ambition.

British Virgin Island loan to fund this...

This will of course hit the Echo tomorrow, possibly some nationals aswell. Would be useful if they clarified what has happened, but doubt they will. I'm not overly worried (yet), but speculation and rumour will mount among the fanbase (and Pompey's) if they keep quiet.

It only happened 2 weeks ago.

The FA and Jenkinson will have to make up their minds soon, Finland want him as well.

He is in the team photo... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/team-poster-on-sale-sunday-404762.aspx
