  1. That twists it somewhat, his loan finished and he returned to his parent club.
  2. I think we'll see a lot of him. Pointless Spurs letting Saints have him otherwise, or they'd loan him to someone that would give him lots of gametime.
  3. It isn't SI's fault it doesn't have the licenses for certain leagues. EA paid big money for them on long term deals. It really isn't difficult to add graphics, the game has been designed so it is easily changeable in appearance and there are step by step guides how to add graphics on the SI forums and lots of user created content to download.
  4. No, not yet. This thread will keep you up to date with things... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?34823-Updated-Tadanari-Lee-Set-to-Sign
  5. Based on what? Certainly goes against what Adkins has said.
  6. I agree with Mr Nursey, Adkins having been Hooper's boss for two years must have a good idea that Hooper would be interested if a price between clubs could be agreed or he wouldn't waste his time. Yes "tapping up" isn't allowed, but it is impossible to police especially if those involved already know each other well. If a club forces a player to give an interview to the OS when no bid has been accepted, then the statement Hooper made is exactly what you would expect. They aren't going to release a statement saying he wants to talk to Saints before any fee has been agreed. That would weaken their negotiation position. That will no doubt irk some Celtic fans that are reading this forum! But do they honestly think a manger that already knows a player very well wouldn't find out directly/indirectly through 3rd parties if that player was interested before spending time and effort pursuing him?
  7. For paying players via a third party Luton Town had 10 points deducted by the Football League... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/luton_town/7500435.stm -30 points in total for all their offences.
  8. He'll be one of our best players if the Spurs/Juventus/Barcelona researchers ratings are anything to go by.
  9. As Spurs bought him today that was always going to be unlikely!
  10. Seems unlikely... @FootballAgent12 Bill Schweinder Saints are going to bid for Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel #lcfc #saintsfc 3 minutes ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply https://twitter.com/#!/FootballAgent12/status/158671006834245632
  11. To be fair to Celtic they were runners up in the UEFA Cup in 2003. But then so were Fulham in 2010 and Middlesbrough in 2006. So hardly something unachievable for Southampton in the future.
  12. Saints are normally first when they are the home side, same with most clubs as it is easier for them to do with their media office on site.

  14. I dread to think how Dave Merrington would pronounce his name.
  15. He has been linked in the press to Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland and QPR.
  16. His goal today vs Dundee United... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQM6AOIn3QA&feature=youtu.be
  17. Saints' spent more in the summer and so far in January than the majority of Championship clubs. Cork, Hooiveld, De Ridder and Fox did not come cheap, nor did new contracts for a large number of players or the £15k p/w for Tadanari Lee. The outlay on them is significant for a Championship club and also shown to be successful, as the club is top of the league in mid January.
  18. Norwich are 9th in the Premier League in mid January with many players that were in League One two years ago in their starting line-up. The jump really isn't that great if the team is managed well and recruited well.
  19. "I'm a little teapot..." "Talk to the hand because the wrist is ****ed"
  20. That is exactly what I've been saying. It takes a different sort of skill to be a goal poacher, you need a good football brain in order to get in the right place at the right time.
  21. Hooper is proven at a higher level than Rhodes. Scored 3 goals in Europe last season and was 3rd top scorer in the Championship, whilst playing for a relegation threatened side in 2009/10. Scored more goals that season than £35m man Andy Carroll who was playing for the team that won the league...
  22. As I said earlier... - Hooper scored in Europe vs Braga, Udinese and Rennes. - Hooper was the Championship's 3rd top scorer with 19 league goals goals for a struggling S****horpe United side in his last year in England in 2009/10 aged 21. - He even outscored Andy Carroll at Newcastle that season, who was playing for a side that walked the league.
  23. No, you may not.
