Juric's style is faster, significantly faster than Martin's. We are a lost cause whatever we do with this squad. That doesn't mean three at the back is a bad idea.

Slow Martinball was disastrous. Juric's football is a lot quicker. We just lack PL quality in many areas whatever formation or style of play we use.

Why is that relevant?

Why? The issue isn't the formation, the issue is the quality of the players in the formation. Teams are capable of getting a back three formation to work effectively, but sadly not us (yet).

The idea of using VAR isn't the issue, it is the people using it. If the Premier League hired the best officials from around the world then VAR would be significantly better. Instead, they largely stick to English referees.
