  1. Nigel Adkins is the goalkeeper. What do I win?
  2. History of the South Coast pendulum over the last 46 years... 1966 to 2004 Southampton's way 2004 to 2009 Pompey's way 2009 - to eternity Southampton's way
  3. It has been in place, but not used officially for a long time. September 2011... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8790733/Goal-line-technology-in-football-comes-closer-as-Southampton-prepare-for-Hawk-Eye-trials.html

  5. You would be happy if Saints were relegated?
  6. A link to the rumour...(something lacking from this thread so far) http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4158639/Football-Confidential-Latest-news-in-brief-from-across-English-football.html
  7. He may have used the long throw more whilst at Stoke, but I've never seen him do this for them...
  8. Most of star Saints youngsters are still too young for regular first team games in the Premier League. The "50% home grown" aim is a long term ambition for Cortese, not one I expect to see next season.
  9. Adkins has been doing exactly that for the past 2 seasons.
  10. It is legitimate if it leads you to this... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2749905,00.html
  11. Guly Do Prado isn't a winger, Jarvis is.
  12. The makeup of the reserves/under 21 leagues hasn't been confirmed yet. In any case Saints if they wanted could have been in a reserve league these past few years, but choose not to.
  13. There is a significant difference between "club wealth" and "owner wealth".
  14. Joe Lewis wasn't even in Peterborough's back five this season. Paul Jones was their first choice keeper.
  15. It isn't a daft question at all. At the moment it is still a little up in the air as they will be restructuring both the academy leagues and reserve leagues in the summer. I've read the initial proposal document, but that was written last summer and there has likely been many changes to it since then. Clubs are currently being audited in terms of academy ranking into one of four tiers and this will also likely link in some ways with what happens at under 21/reserve team level. Premier League status and category one status will certainly put Saints in a strong position in terms of player development and attracting players to play for the academy and under 21 side.
  16. He looks promising from what I have seen of him, more so than Ryan Doble. He is still only 19 and will likely go out on loan again or even used in the revamped Premier League "reserve/under 21 set up" that comes in conjunction with the EPPP in the summer.
  17. His contract will end on 30th June.
  18. What makes you think that? He is doing well on loan at Rotherham and is still only 19. He has said on Twitter the club are letting him go. Schneiderlin is 22
  19. Radhi Jaïdi announced he was going to retire at the end of the season months ago.
  20. I think a new keeper wouldn't hurt. Would keep Davis on his toes, after all Bialkowski and Davis have both been at the club for 6 years now and a new face to give them both some competition might drive them on.
  21. He was the Championship's 3rd top scorer in his last season in England (aged only 22 years old), he outscored Andy Carroll and did it whilst at a team like S****horpe United who didn't exactly create a lot of opportunities. He also has a good scoring record in Europe for Celtic. I know the SPL is poor, but your statement is harsh I think.
  22. Can you not see why you can't put a figure on it?
