You will find the majority of people are right footed, so of course most centre backs will be right footed. Adkins admits he likes having a left footed centre back and I can see why. Centre backs often have to cover for their full backs, with Hooiveld it makes it easier for him to cover Fox being also left footed.

It is PSV he has said he is talking to, so the interest from those others wasn't that strong (if at all). PSV aren't that good.

I think you are failing to realise that given Saints already have 50 points, for them to drop down the table as you think it would need a catastrophic final 20 games as teams below will struggle to catch upto 50 points and then better what Saints pick up in the remaining games.

With 20 games left, Saints are only 6 points away from what was needed for 17th last season.

Because he is more experienced and has come from Spurs in order to get games, not drop behind Reeves and Ward-Prowse in the pecking order.
