  1. You haven't responded to the celestial teapot argument that was used to counter your earlier points.
  2. Does an inept designer deserve praise from his creations? That is quite a generalisation. No human is the same, many have been created with far weaker "designs" than others, the overwhelming majority of our species throughout time haven't seen their 5th birthday. Some design...!
  3. I don't know. But to answer it with God to plug the gap in knowledge just starts an infinite regression.
  4. More interesting to turn that question around... Why did he want them dead?
  5. Many Christians use the human eye as an example of intelligent design. Why if the Christian God is such a great designer did he make me (and many others) short or longsighted? If he existed, he is either incompetent at his job or evil. Certainly not competent or good.
  6. Can you explain what evidence you have seen of this?
  7. Post #119 Did you watch the video about the teapot? How intelligent/competent is this God you speak of? He has created an earth which has seen over 99% of all species become extinct? That is just looking at earth, why has he made the rest of the universe lifeless (although it is unlikely to be completely lifeless)?
  8. Point 3), there is plenty of evidence the God of the Bible doesn't exist. What makes you think there isn't? As for point 4), if God really is all powerful he could quite easily show he exists. However he only "reveals" himself throughout time largely to those from Christian families or come into contact with them. He is inept at spreading his message. You points 5) and 6) can be summed up by this... [video=youtube;_AXBvmd-xcw]
  9. You do if you want others to follow the same faith. For example... What proof do you have that Christianity is the correct religion that you/will you show your children? Will you just force them to be Christian? Why should they be Christian like yourself rather than any other religion (or none at all) just because you are Christian? If you were born into a different family in a another part of the world or era, you would have the faith of that region in that time. It makes a mockery of the whole faith idea. Many religions dependant largely on what family, region and time you were born into shows that it is human made. If there was one true religion it would be worldwide and the same throughout time.
  10. You have completely lost me now. So what if the world uses Jesus' birthdate for the calendar? How is that evidence for the existence of God? There have been thousands of recorded Gods throughout human history, not just in the Middle East 2,000 years ago and many other calendars.
  11. The onus is on you to prove he... 1) did exist 2) performed miracles Not on us to prove he didn't, as we aren't the one making the supernatural claims. I doubt you can do either 1) or 2). There are countless stories of "Messiah's" in the middle east, many of which predated Jesus, many of which had similar mythologically and tales surrounding them. Virgin birth, healing etc are not all unique to Jesus! You have just picked one of many "Messiah's" from that time.
  12. So after 100,000 years of modern man he decided that the best way to spread the message was to send his son to a remote part of the illiterate Middle East in a time when communication was terrible? The story of Jesus took 1,000 years to reach China, 1,5000 years to reach the Americas and 1,700 years to reach Australia. Not the most effective way of spreading his word is it? If there is an "all powerful God", he is inept at his job. Hence why else would they be thousands of religions recorded in human history?
  13. How intelligent is he? 99% of all species that have ever existed on Earth are now extinct, the majority of the universe in inhabitable. If God does exist, he isn't intelligent, he is incompetent and definitely doesn't care about trivial human matters. He didn't design the human eye very well did he?
  14. No they won't. Fry, MacAnthony and Ferguson have all said on a number of occasions now that they will be sold if they go up or not. For example... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6939981,00.html Huddersfield would be more of a threat in the Championship than Peterborough would be.
  15. I think he wants people to use the computer game Football Manager 2011 to look for good players that Saints could sign in real life. Everton already do... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/2008/11/14/everton-sign-deal-to-scout-for-world-s-best-players-in-football-manager-video-game-86908-20893667/ And a number of other real life managers and clubs have admitted to using it as an initial scouting tool. For example... http://www.russianfootballnow.com/2009/12/29/dinamos-virtual-scouting-rubins-transfer-itch-and-some-turkish-traffic/#more-1798
  16. They could have made life easier by just using a photo with Puncheon in it on his own.
  17. Well if you didn't know what Puncheon looked like or what Blackpool's kit was, then that number is a vital piece of information when a photo shows two players.
  18. Di Canio is a fascist. How would that be good for dressing room harmony at Saints? I don't want him anywhere near the club! Nor should anyone else... In his autobiography he praised Mussolini as "basically a very principled, ethical individual" who was "deeply misunderstood".
  19. Why do you think Chamberlain needs to be sold to finance it? Adkins, Cortese and Friis-Hansen have all indicated there is money available to buy players.
  20. The worst think about the Tommy Forecast deal, is not that he was given a 5 year contract, it is that he is part of what Saints got for cashing in on the Gareth Bale clauses early. I could put up the 5 year deal if Saints still had a sell on clause for Bale, sadly they don't anymore.
  21. Watch it again...
  22. Would you sell him even if he didn't request it and a bid of £15m came in? If the Liebherr's are spending money anyway and have the resources to do so it is daft to sell players you would then struggle to replace. Saints would be weakened in right midfield, they wouldn't be able to buy a player better than Chamberlain. The only way Saints fans will see players as good as Walcott, Bale and Chamberlain is by bringing them through the academy. To actually buy them when they are good isn't going to happen.
  23. If that money is being spent regardless of player transfers, why sell him?
  24. Loan... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2170637,00.html (which was extended) and then transfer... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2254344,00.html
  25. http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/npower-championship/npower-championship-winner-11-12/e12932908.html Saints joint 3rd favourites even though West Ham, Forest and Cardiff have been added. Only one of Swansea/Reading, the two relegated Premier League teams and one League One playoff team to be added.
