Nick asked a question, answered it and then thanked himself for answering it. You must be in a little bit of trouble if you do that!

number of saints fans at wembley last year for trophy final
Matthew Le God replied to wokingsaints's topic in The Saints
Official attendance was 73,476 - Carlisle failed to sell out their allocation of 24,506 and I doubt there where many neutrals at the game like with the FA Cup or League Cup final. - Saints probably had over 50,000 of the 73,476 (even though it was officially 44,000 Saints fans). There would have been many more Saints fans there if Wembley had listened to Saints' ticketing plan and allowed Saints to bring their own stewards. -
Having a conversation with yourself Nick. First sign of madness?

You would think at least some of the creditors would have their legal representatives checking for such clauses.

It isn't racism then, is it? They wanted the better player to be playing. In any case, there is no such thing a "race". The Human Genome Project has determined unequivocally that there is the same amount of genetic variation among individuals within a so called racial group as there is between individuals in different racial groups. What that means is that there is no real genetic difference between blacks and whites or between whites and Asians or between any of the so called races. We are just human...

Saints fans preferring Chamberlain to play instead of Puncheon on the wing are racist?
-
Replace the black for white, add a Saints badge and aap3 logo and it would be okay I think. Work your magic photoshoppers...

I've just listened to it... No he didn't. No he didn't.

If you were eligible when the qualifying campaign started, you are eligible for the finals. Just like a 10 year old being eligible for the first game of a Tyro League under 11 season is also eligible for the last game of the season even if he is now 11 years old in an under 11's league. It just happens that the Under 21's competition is over 2 years and not 1 year for the under 11's. Which means you can get 23 year olds playing in an under 21 tournament. Would be silly if the players that got you to a finals of a competition weren't allowed to play and you had to use completely different players.

The quicker it happens the less chance of the squad being broken up. For example, if Chamberlain stays this season, if Saints don't go up he'll move, if Saints do go up there is a reasonable chance he could stay. No point wasting the momentum Saints are on, may as well make good use of it and don't merely consolidate when they could quite easily push on ala Norwich.

Its Blackpool and Birmingham then!!
Matthew Le God replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
You are making an irrelevant comparison. You shouldn't be comparing Blackpool, Birmingham and West Ham to Hull, Pompey and Burnley as they are all still in the league. You should be comparing them to Q.P.R., Norwich and one of Swansea/Reading. -
How many fans go to the friendly isn't important to them compared to how the team gets on in the summer competition.

The money you get from the Europa League is minimal, particularly in the early rounds. Nor is it much of a player puller to attract new signings unless it is in combination with Premiership status. Plus they will have an early summer start and have to fit midweek European games with a 46 game league season as opposed to a 38 league game season. -
You have to ask which is more likely... a) a bunch of mates decide to fool people on youtube with some toy helicopters and lights or video editing software or camera trickery with mirrors and lenses or b) aliens fly across the universe to Hawaii, fly around in the sky for a bit and then disappear ??? It takes quite a leap to think b) is more likely than a) !!!

Do you have a source with the original US AAF claim and the amendment? It doesn't look that high, my remote control helicopter can get to quite a height. Plus the movement looks similar to that with which you can do with a RC helicopter. Some hoaxers have been proven to go to quite some lengths. Stick a light on a few of these (electric ones to avoid the smoke) and fly in formation... [video=youtube;PTifPpSHQ-8] And hey presto, you have fooled some people on youtube.
-
This is 60 years ago remember. Do you have a source with the original US AAF claim? It could be any number of things. No not flares, but why have you decided UFO's is more likely than someone trying to trick the world with a simple video trick either with mirror/lenses or as you say CGI, remote control helicopter with lights on etc etc? Why are you so confident to rule them out? Are these not more likely to happen than a UFO? FWIW I think there are aliens somewhere in the universe due to the sheer size of the universe meaning the chances are that life was able to develop elsewhere. However these are so far away I do not think they have ever reached earth. They certainly wouldn't bother abducting countless hillbillies in the American mid west.

This is an event that occurred in 1985 to you as a child. That is quite some time ago! Human memory is far from perfect and tends to garnish real events with things that didn't happen. I'm not saying you are lying.

I didn't say "mentally ill" was the only explanation. It was one of many I listed and they may be in combination with each other or alone. Is describing something as a "weather balloon" really much of a change to describing it as a "flying disc"?
-
Can you show me any independent reputable scientific study proving a paranormal activity? Can you describe the shared event?
-
There really should be a MLG BBcode.
-
Do you believe in unicorns, leprechauns or fairies? If not, why not? All three and countless other creatures have been seen "apparently" by countless people throughout human history.
-
Huge number of reasons - attention seeking, mental illness, overactive mind, confusion with natural phenomena or human built objects like aircraft and weather balloons etc etc.
-
You are right the aren't guaranteed to be true. But they are more likely, and that is the key! People that believe in ghosts overlook more plausible explanations and jump straight to the paranormal.
-
I did give two possible reasons, not one. Both more likely than a ghost (especially the second one).
