Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Specials Club After Summer Transfer Window
Matthew Le God replied to Trader's topic in The Saints
It is stories like this that fuel odds and bookies are happy to take punters money whether they think there is a remote chance of it being a realistic option or not... http://www.teamtalk.com/papertalk/6790361 -
They haven't classified games between teams within the same league. They have averaged out the price. Teams in different leagues i.e. League One 10/11 and Championship 11/12 have different average prices across the season for matchday prices (£25 and £30 respectively for adult tickets in the centre blocks). You could say the West Ham and Pompey game's prices could really be £35 and the Peterborough and Barnsley matches at St Mary's should be £25. It will "roughly" balance out over the season to £30 ish (although not perfectly as the more attractive games have higher gates).
-
As the club has decided not to classify games as gold/silver/bronze both in League One or the Championship you can't "play the game" in that way of comparing two games vs Championship teams with a game vs a Championship team and one vs a League One team. It is a standard price for every league game and in a way an average price across the league season.
-
It was an analogy to show better quality levels of leisure pursuits demand different prices. Not to be taken literally. Do you not think a Championship match vs West Ham should be more expensive than a League One match vs Dagenham & Redbridge?
-
It is in a new league. If you goto the theatre to see a play by the local am-dram society and then the next year a touring West End show turns up at the theatre and does the same play would you not expect to pay more? You can get Championship level football against Birmingham, West Ham, Leeds, Pompey, Forest etc etc for £11 and £16 per game. It is hardly a lot. Last season Saints were playing Dagenham & Redbridge, Yeovil and Walsall. Of course the price was going to go up, it was cheap last season because of the product on offer.

Those 60 to 65 are quite often (but not always) those with the most disposable cash, then when you turn 65 you get a concession. You can get an adult ticket between the ages of 60 and 65 for £16.50 per game in the family end, £20 per game in the wings/behind goals. If I had no cash/unemployed I would prioritise what I spent any cash I did have on. One thing that would get low priority would be a luxury item like a season ticket for a football team and instead I would pick and choose the occasional game. This is a leisure pursuit not a medical prescription or bus pass, nor should it be compared to them.

Are you a pensioner? Not yet. Are you still working? Possibly Do you have kids at home? Probably not Have you paid off your mortgage? Possibly
-
A renewal in the family section costs £255. 255 divided by 23 games equals £11.08 per match. If not the family section then a renewal in the wings cost £375, divided by 23 games equals £16.30 per match. Bargain for Championship level football!

A misleading thread title for a subject based on a random Pompey fan posting crap on a message board.
-
60+ year olds last season could if they wanted get a season ticket which worked out to be £8.39 per game in League One. In 2011/12 they can get a season ticket for £11 per game for Championship football.

You can judge decision making even if the quality of opponent is lower. There isn't much difference between the Championship (when Theo played for Saints) and the upper reaches of League One.

Millwall and Burnley plotting swoop for Saints' Seaborne
Matthew Le God replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Downes has done a number of articles for TalkSport about Saints since he left the club, none of which have come true. -
Have you watched the cold reading video posted earlier?

1) Like what? 2) Did it only come about after a serious of very vague questions that could apply to a lot of people that eventually got narrowed down? 3) Has she won the lottery? If not, why not?

[video=youtube;idVxRE8uM-A]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idVxRE8uM-A&feature=related 1) Watch the video above where Derren Brown explains how it is done. 2) Look out for vagueness in bucketloads until they narrow in on something that connects with your life rather than the broader section of the population they were talking about before. Basically they will play a game of 20 questions with you. 3) Ask them why he/she hasn't won the lottery. 4) If you really have to go, what ever you do don't give them any money as it is fraud!

Thats what is letting me down.

How are you supposed to know if a question like that is serious or not? This isn't LA Noire and you can't read facial expressions.

It is a wing.

- They are in line with those towards the top of the Championship. - They aren't the most expensive in the Championship. - In theory the product on offer should be better, hence a higher price. We will see West Ham, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Forest, Derby, Leicester, Pompey etc as opposed to Dagenham & Redbridge, Tranmere, Walsall and Yeovil etc. - We will also see larger away fan contingents of thousands, compared to hundreds for some League One clubs. - A season ticket lets you see 7 matches for "free" compared to matchday prices. Yet you complain?
-
That isn't evidence. Surely the club would include him on the list?

Who Are Southampton's Biggest Threat Next Season?
Matthew Le God replied to Deano6's topic in The Saints
So you are ignoring a number of media sources stating Saints have had a bid accepted by Chelsea for Jack Cork? For all we know Saints may have countless other bids in for players at the moment. -
Age is irrelevant if you are a student as you can be any age and have a valid student card. It is proof you are a student that you may need, but given they are doing transactions over the phone I don't see how they can.
