  1. The key parts of preventing that being an issue "may" be able to be completed between May and August meaning that construction then continues into the season. Is this not rumour and myth going back 10 years and because it has been continually repeated in numerous fans forums it is taken to be true? Does anyone have a link to something that Rupert Lowe, Andrew Cowan, Barr Construction etc have actually said to confirm this? It may well be true, but I'd like some evidence from a credible source.
  2. I bet you Guly cost quite a large amount (transfer fee, the initial loan fee, signing on fee, agent fee, wages) for a League One team.
  3. The thread is pointless because the signings Adkins makes are added to those Pardew made to make a collective squad. Pardew already brought in the key parts of the starting XI as a large amount of recruiting was needed during 2009/10 after administration. Adkins on the other hand has only been here for one window (31 days long), and the squad was already very strongfor what it needs to do apart from a few options off the bench. Adkins secured full time Guly and Chaplow, signed Lallana long term, kept Chamberlain and signed Forte and N'Guessan for options off the bench. I think that is more than enough. In any case the signings aren't just down to the manager, it is a combination of manager, coaching staff, scouting staff, Les Reed and Nicola Cortese.
  4. But it is a relatively small steel structure, surely it could cope with loads on top? I'd imagine makers of the video (Dalton Crawley Architects) would have a better idea than any of us not in the construction industry what can and can't be done with such structures. I keep seeing people say the Itchen Stand can't be expanded, but have seen no evidence other than a paragraph on Wikipedia, which of course cannot be taken seriously as anyone in the world can edit it. Does anyone have any credible evidence that it can't?
  5. How do you explain away all the passages I listed then?
  6. Surely the laws of God are timeless! If they can change to meet modern society then you didn't need them from God in the first place and society can make its own laws? Plenty of examples I could use, here are a mere handfull. Look them up for yourself! The Bible condoning... Rape Deuteronomy 22:28-29 Judges 21:10-24 Numbers 31:7-18 Deuteronomy 20:10-14 Deuteronomy 21:10-14 Murder Judges 21:10-24 Numbers 31:7-18 Deuteronomy 20:10-14 Genocide Joshua 6:20-21 Judges 20:48 Judges 18:27-29 Jeremiah 50:21-22 Slavery Leviticus 25:44-46 Exodus 21:2-6 Exodus 21:7-11 Exodus 21:20-21 Ephesians 6:5 Timothy 6:1-2 Luke 12:47-48 (Even Jesus thinks slavery is okay) Infanticide Samuel 12:11-14 Isaiah 14:21 Isaiah 13:15-18 It is an evil book and should be banned from publication under the Public Order Act 1986 (and its subsequent amendments). But because it is The Bible it won't happen.
  7. The Bible is riddled with hundreds of contradictions. I don't see why a gay couple (or a straight couple) would want to put such an evil book like the Bible in their wedding. The book is sexist, racist, homophobic, says genocide, slavery, infanticide, rape, murder etc are all okay. Really it should be banned from publication.
  8. Can't have a thread about development and expansion without this video made by Dalton Crawley Architects... Interesting they have some Tall Ships on the river next to the stadium along with some other surrounding buildings that don't currently exist.
  9. I think he plays for Sholing now.
  10. Are you 100% sure on that? So it would be to a similar level to what Luton got with -10 points for dodgy agent dealings (the other -20 points were for other things)? And to think people wanted this thread closed when Chainrai took over again...
  11. Some Pompey fans seem to think they wouldn't get a points deduction if the trio are found guilty. Are you sure they would? Anyone going to email the Football League and find out?
  12. Saints are also helped by having a satellite academy in Bath which helps get around travel restrictions. Which is how Saints picked up Welsh and South Western English players like Gareth Bale and a number of others.
  13. This is interesting... Councillor Alison Hoare, who represents Marchwood, said “When they reach the Premier League, reserve matches will be played at St Mary’s.”
  14. I am just a random on an internet messageboard. Fleet Street, Sky, Daily Echo etc don't publish or broadcast my views (thank god you may say ) so there is a significant difference. Le Tissier and other ex Saints running to the press with their views does impact on Saints and the perceptions of the fanbase for better or worse and they really should think through what their comments may lead to.
  15. My username represents my appreciation for him as a player (I first used this username over 8 years ago), it not all encompassing of all things he has done outside the football pitch. He says some very silly things and doesn't think about the implications of his actions and words.
  16. Well you have the power. Close the thread as it is going round in circles now.
  17. No-one in this thread that I have seen has doubted the good service Le Tissier gave the club for many years. Doesn't mean he should expect any favours from the club if he constantly uses the media to bad mouth Cortese. Nor should the "Ex Saints" if some of their key members do the same. Of course Cortese isn't above criticism, but to publicly criticise him constantly with unsubstantiated rumour isn't professional, nor is it going to make someone go out of their way to help your cause. It is odd that Le Tiss and other former Saints that have done the same seem surprised that Cortese doesn't give them favours. I'd do exactly the same if I were Cortese, who has remained quiet and professional on this issue and all he has done is not dished out favours to those that use the media against him.
  18. I wouldn't name the whole training ground after him. Staplewood Training Ground just sounds good, maybe call the main building "the Markus Liebherr Pavilion".
  19. He is a goalkeeper.
  20. Don't worry Kenny. Benjii is just continuing today's trend of reminiscing about old Saints players.
  21. But what if these employees make unsubstantiated claims on numerous occasions in the media. Do they still deserve the business they once worked for to give them freebies?
  22. Read the article on the OS and it tells you how long it will take.
  23. AFL Architects Same people that did Chelsea and Man Utd's training grounds. Saints are spending ALOT of money here, which is good to see.
