Bugger. Silver for Robson/Murray
-
Fair play to him. He's singing the Anthem (Giggs take note)

Just showed her then. Think she was trying. She failed

Fantastic result from Murray there. A bloke in the pub just now said "this could be the making for breaking of Murray". Hopefully this is the making.

The bird who's been doing the morning shift after BBC breakfast has been good. Misha Hussein? Balding has been very good in the aquatic centre and has forged a decent partnership with Foster

Just watched the first Olympic women's boxing match. I'm sorry. It was appalling.

New Olympic & World record for Vicky P

It's Vicky P time on BBC3 NOW

I was at Mexico Senegal at Wembley yesterday afternoon. Not a bad game. Atmosphere was not great though. But something that struck me last night was when I was in the pub with Mrs OOO and some friends of ours. People were sitting watching and cheering Mo in the 10,000m last night. Everyone in the pub was watching. It was strange but great. I've never known a reaction like it to athletics. It seems to me that there is a real feel good feeling going on in London at the moment. People are gripped by it. People are talking to each other on the tube about it. It really is something.

Don't tell the government. It's immoral...... Winking thing

Vicky P wining her Kerrin heat. Bizzare event really. One of Japan's crazy inventions!

It's time for more Pendleton action.

BTW I spoke to some more troops last night whilst queuing for the Beach Volleyball. Again I got told that it is not as bad as being made out. They were all made up as they were on Beach Volleyball duty and said lots of their colleagues were giving them stick for getting the prized job. Saw loads in the stands in time for the GB women's game.

I was smacked as a child. Also had the wooden spoon and for swearing I had my mouth washed out with soap. Sound beatings are the answer! I was soundly beaten and it didn't' do me any harm! In all seriousness I can see myself smacking my kids (if I have them) if they really deserve it. Would like to think of it as a last resort that would be a very rare thing. However as mentioned earlier in the thread your thoughts can change when you actually have them. Mate of mine was saying he has smacked his daughter's hand when she has gone to touch something dangerous but that was purely to stop her from touching it

By all accounts in Rio the pros will be competing.
-
Bring back Motorsport! It used to be in the Olympics! If you can have a horse then use Horsepower! Glad rugby 7's gets introduced in Rio. Not convince golf should be (though I'm sure DP will disagree - winking thing)

Wasn't their a pic of him on the crapper from Steaua away somewhere on there?

S4E with Um Pahars' pics of birds he met in saints training shirts, St Steve's porn links, the break away Lungs Forever after some banning incident (I think), and lots of plugging of other sites such as Painted Cow and their jailbait page. And the days of superfan Javi being ripped apart for various things. Ah those Halcyon days.

So just back from the beach volleyball. Good evening out. Atmosphere was great. They've got the voice over guy from Chris Moyles Quiz Night/x factor who Works the crowd really well. The British women's pair came out and the place erupted. And they weren't too shabby. Even at 2230 they were in bikinis. Their Austrian Opponents had t-shirts on which was disappointing. Brits got knocked out but their bending over in front of us was good. And the games were good as well. Between match entertainment was a bunch of birds in bikinis dancing around. Took some pictures so will upload them if I can work out how. On the whole it was a good event. (and for those on troop watch, they seemed to be enjoying it as well)

I'm off to beach volleyball now. Should be good! Hoping for some good perving ops without the mrs noticing. Will report back later.

No one is saying it is a doss Alps. What the troops are saying it is not as bad as the media it making out to be. They are working hard. Having been to the Olympic park I have seen them in action. They are conducting bag searches, operating x-ray machines and "metal arches" a task that can be mind numbing, yet you have to pay attention to everything coming through. Yet whatever job they are doing, they are doing it with a smile. They are doing it politely. They are posing for pictures with kids. They are giving a damn good account of themselves and the country. So if the perks for them involve trying to fire into a female athlete, or have coffee with Kevin Spacey, or watch events, I say good for them. They deserve it. And when the troops themselves say the conditions aren't as bad as they are being made out. I believe them. When they say they would rather be there. They are enjoying it. Yes there are bound to be one or two who aren't enjoying it, but from what I have seen they majority are enjoying it and don't mind the conditions. So give it a rest eh Alps? It seems that you and the Daily Mail readership are the ones bothered about it from afar, and the ones involved in it aren't as concerned as you are.

Soldiers I spoke to yesterday said it wasn't as bad as the media make out. Told me they'd rather be doing this than sleeping under a bag on Salisbury Plain.

It's no worse than normal. Standard is running stories everyday about how quiet traders are finding it. South bank was busy yesterday but is every summer. Lots of things going on down there. Lots of Americans, possibly more than normal. Have noticed that there are lots of guides/stewards to help which are handy for people unfamiliar with places.

So with GB topping the group in football I will be watching Sengal v Mexico on Saturday. Was expecting GB to get 2nd when i put in for tickets. Oh well, day out at Wembley. First since JPT. Will wear my Sash shirt

So you expected to see Kazahkstan and North Korea winning golds then did you? You expected Phelps to stumble in the qualifier for the 400m Individual medley. If you manage to be so accurate with your predictions then Alps, how come you can't translate that to winning big on sports beta or the lottery?
