Are you MLG? Your cover blown? If not, one is enough! Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men. -

Saints Kits Season 2024/25 - Page 24 NSFW

Perfect first team shirt for our bunch of aged journeymen, loanees and freebies as they strive for 20th place in the PL -
… and a quick return to the EFL Championship. Speculate to accumulate and deal with politics later.

What do you mean lacking ambition, we've just signed an ex-Liverpool player?
-
Scotland embarrassed themselves last night by not rising to the occasion and flattered Germany into thinking that they were much better than they are. By any standards this was a poor performance and the Scots players should apologise to the many fans of the tartan army that trekked all the way down to Munich to watch. Hopefully they were too full of Pilsner to worry much about it last night Neither of these sides will be a serious challenger in this tournament. Germany have a home advantage but doubt that will get them beyond the quarter's if that. Poor old Chez, did he actually touch the ball? Not sure many offers will be coming his way now.

This will not end well unfortunately, too much baggage and too many raring to say "I told you so". Best to look forward rather than back to the future. We don't have the time or resources for failed experiments. To those saying it will not be the same as Walcott's return the response must be that is the only evidence we have on which to make judgements.

His own finances of course, not the club's.

Welcome back the 4000 disloyal b****** who jilted the Saints when we were relegated last year.

I'd pay him more than that to go.

"Afforable housing" is meaningless Tory drivel aimed at pacifying the masses. Affordable for whom? Let's hope Keir Starmer re-invents council housing, builds tens of thousands of them and ends the shame and anguish of young homelessness once and for all. Fourteen years of Tory Toffs starving the resources of public institutions, local authorities and the armed services so as to enrich themselves and their pals has left our country in a state of disorder, disarray and decline that would shame many developing countries and has left us defenceless against potential foes.

Sorry to throw cold water on your hopes but the first piority will be to survive in the PL and that will not be an easy task by any means. Think global but act local.
-
Are you implying that we have sold 32,000 STs bar any that don't renew?
-
I doubt the rest of the teams in the Championship outside the Big 4 clubs didn't think it was so nice. I expect their fans were cursing… "if only those Big 4 clubs would bugger off and play amongst themsleves, then the Championship would be really competitive and fun to watch"

Would make more sense to bring Tella back

Oh really? Surprise, surprise. Comment of the week.
-
That is one of the meanest comments that has been posted on here recently. Completely unnecessary.

Are we giving Shoehorn the boot?

Yes and No. Good news about Downes but sadly JWP seems to be on his way out having made little impact there. Not that I want to see him back here, he made his choice and the risk he took by leaving us. It was always my view that he was the archetypical 'one-club player' and this may be the confirmation. Duck out of water. No doubt there'll be links to him now but it is better that both sides move on. Another for the Arlesford Golf Club Veterans?

We came 4th!

I would't raise your hopes too high if negotiating new contracts with McCarthy and Adams is the height of their ambition.
-
Exactly why we should not touch either if them with a barge pole. Obviously already more or less retired, their minds are on the wrong things altogether. We want 24/7 footballers commited to our cause.
-
The explanation of who can buy what, when and where on the SFC is anything but clear and is likely to confuse many people affected by the ground re-organisation. It looks like we're heading for the inevitable shambles and disappointed and disaffected fans. Who writres their stuff and do they ever get people to critique it before it is launched. 1/10 SFC, you certainly know how to cock things up.

Agree. We want players who are proud to be playing for Southampton and see a career with Saints as an aspiration, not greedy chancers who will drop their skirts to the highest bidders.
