No two ways about it this was a bloody awful performance. The sheer ineptitude of our players beggars belief. Do they learn nothing in training? With the exception of Bazunu who had nothing to do, none of our players can be pleased with their performance today. There is zero chance of Saints gaining promotion with this bunch of coaching clowns.

My thoughts as well. Was Adam the only media rep one there? That's two weeks in a row with questions only from him. He doesn't really ask questions as such just sets up prompts for Russell Martin to engage in aimless waffle. It's becoming a right old snooze fest.

That's the main worry and it also alerts bigger clubs. No doubt he is being monitored by them anyway so this recognition especially if he gets game time and does well will hasten his inevitable departure.

Really "gaffer" should play an unchanged XI even if it means hooking SArmstrong and Alcaraz at HT. Keep the momentum and morale high, they and Sullywill want to play and they will be way more effective from the get-go when it is still 0-0.

I think they are training tops for the warm up only, not match shirts as such. Waste of money! 90% of fans either won't be in their seats during the warm up or concentrating on polishing off their pasties to take much notice.

Martin is probably Wilcox's responsibility. As Wilcox was not part of the Ankerson induced managerial fiasco of last season expect him to be more circumspect about managerial shortcomings and new appointments than we fans. My guess is that Martin will be given at least a dozen games to prove his metal. If nothing improves after that then he will go. I remain unconvinced that SR are really expecting promotion this season or probably next. Things may have to get a lot worse before we take a turn for the better. Our kids need a couple of years at least to mature and there is still plenty of deadwood to be cleared.

That simply is not true. Who disliked him? People disliked the way that Nigel Adkins had been treated but there was no animosity towards Maurizio, just the opposite in fact.
