Try before you buy in future should be the transfer policy although that risks only recruiting the "also ran" type of players like Holgate and Brooks who are not quite good enough for whatever reasons to stake a place in their own club's first team squads. Surely we cannot contemplate a PL future with such players, the future must be with youngsters like Jayden Meghoma, Sam Amo-Ameyaw and Tyler Dibling.

The January window will come and go like most windows and will underwhelm like most windows. I doubt any new players will come in, do we really need them?

If Saints are to be serious challengers for the automatic promotion spots they need to win every one of these matches. It sounds like a tall order but it must be done or they risk being also rans in the play-offs.

The quicker we get out of this league the better.

Should be a doddle, 5-1 most likely. Can't be bothered to go up there on Saturday to watch the B team.
