  1. It was only 20 odd years ago
  2. Without KWP we are total garbage.
  3. If Carlsberg did inquests, this lot would be hung at HT
  4. Worst Saints performance this year so far. Pedestrian. No wonder Martin ducked the PC, who picked this bunch of comedians?
  5. My bad, I assumed the game was today! It's been a long week…...
  6. Because it is SFC you are dealing with!
  7. It's audio only, no video because it crosses the 3pm threshold black-out.
  8. Deserves a custodial sentence.
  9. I am not in the least concerned about either. Only Adams could leave and that will be no great loss.
  10. Adams is Marmite it seems. We should end this chapter of his career for his and our benefit and relief. His epitaph will read " full of promise that was never fulfilled". No more lumbering Oxen please Mr Wilcox.
  11. Weird substitutions today. Mara a spectator, Rothwell not ready for first team duties and * Stephens (*expletives redacted). Are they deliberately trying to piss Alcaraz off?
  12. Good call chum! Smallbone MotM!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Bloody Calamity Stephens, useless, totally disrupted the team once he came on and almost gifted them two goals . THB even on a yellow is less of a risk than this cretin. Get him out of St Mary's before he costs us promotion. Brilliant first half saved our blushes but we should have had 5 or 6 by HT.
  14. Manchester United winger Amad Diallo, 21, is set to turn down any Championship loans in January, with the Ivory Coast international wanted by Michael Carrick at Middlesbrough. (Fabrizio Romano)
  15. No question about that at all which is why it is very doubtful that he will leave anytime soon through choice or coercion. If ever a player was indispensable! As Martin said recently not a single player has been beating down his door wanting out this winter. Very evidently KWP is loving every minute of the role he has here under Martin and the success it is bringing, he looks very settled indeed.
  16. Best to stick with Occam's Razor.
  17. What about Terry Paine's 816 appearance in a Saints shirt or are you too young to remember him? Will never be surpassed ever. We old timers worshiped the lad and he is still around and kicking even if we don't see him at St Mary's much these days. Absolutely the ONLY true Saints legend!
  18. Not rational as you say but clearly there is still a lot of mileage in the Fraser engine and the other mechanicals seem to be working just fine. Age is just a number; he may be 30 yo but seems have the energy and physical condition of a 25 yo. On that basis I would take a chance on him, 2 year contract in the summer and we have a far more than competent back-up to the fast developing Edozie & Sulemana, what's to lose?
  19. Another management distraction from a poor January transfer window?
  20. Wrong thread! If you determined to have a pop at Cortese then have the decency to do it on the Cortese thread where people can respond.
  21. Of course because that is human nature in this country of ours when a disruptor enters the corridors of power, determined to wake up all the lazy bastards in the organisation who did FA all day yet expected an easy job for life without effort or responsibility. Personally I liked Cortese and what he was trying to achieve and wished he had stayed longer. Markus was no fool and trusted that guy so he couldn't have been all bad.
  22. You are deluded my friend, you ARE a pessimist. Look, most clubs in this league will have watched videos of us over and over again to try to work out in detail a plan to stop us, as Wednesday did on Saturday. Obviously they will all press early on to try and disrupt our rhythm and attack our weaknesses. Scant good it did Wednesday. Keep the faith these lads of ours know what they are doing. We are quite good now and players have learned how to ghost their way around the pitch so that our passing game is not easily disrupted. OK, Swansea have a new manager who knows RM's style but so what, he's only just arrived and knowing is not the same as doing. As we have seen it takes ages to drill a team to react spontaneously and successfully to a game plan, not two weeks or whatever. Travel in hope, we could and should win this match comfortably.
  23. KWP is one of the cleverest and most versatile wing backs in the country right now whatever the level he is currently playing at. Surely, surely, surely even the blinkered and bigoted Southgate has to get the guy in an England shirt again very soon.
  24. Spot on and totally agree. Once the basic skill set becomes second nature one can move on to more advanced skills with confidence. That's what we are seeing.
  25. Something magical is happening at St Mary's these days and it's good to be part of it. Well done lads, every one of you.
