Genuine question - why the hype over Zeqiri? Only seen the YouTube highlights but seems a bit meh to me. He mainly plays as a striker although has played on the wing, doesn't have a fantastic scoring record in the Swiss league. It's only YouTube but nothing really stood out for me.

Was wondering what happened to him the other day. It's not that long ago Ralph Rangnik was comparing him to Kevin De Bruyne. Also played in the champions league I think. Seem to recall he had a really bad injury record.

On a more positive note, Ross Stewart looks a decent player (when fit). Big lad who would definitely give us an added dimension to our attacking options - feels like we haven't had that since Pelle. If we do end up signing him and having to wait a bit till he's fit then I'd consider swapping Alcaraz and A Armstrong around and see how that works out.

Sunderland are desperate for a striker too. We could offer 10m + tall Paul for Stewart and that would probably get him. Or just offer a straight 5m.

Yeah, I looked him up when we were first linked. Apparently played a lot of the time out on the wing last season. I'm not sure 11 goals in 30 in the Swiss league is that great but Brighton seemed to think he had something about him. Not that excited but guess we'll see.

TBF Leeds played Drameh at left back instead of right back but I agree - he had a reasonable spell at Luton last season but nothing spectacular. I'd be very surprised if we considered him a first choice right back.

I think we need to get a right winger in - Sam AA isn't ready to be a starter but will be good cover and impact sub. S Armstrong would be good to be fair but neither he nor Martin really want to play him there. Martin has said we'll replace Tella anyway. Other than that, agree.

I can see us getting a RB in if KWP goes, replacement for Tella, another striker if Che goes and probably Wood or another CB. I don't think we'll get anyone else in if Sulemana goes though. Fraser and Edozie will fight it out for that spot.

Yeah, I was just pointing it out that it's an option. There's always the doubts over whether he comes back as good and whether he can avoid other smaller injuries. Kind of thing that might make more sense in January depending on circumstances.

Duk is another one that's been mentioned. I wonder whether the club are still considering Ross Stewart as well - looks like he could be back fit around end of September. We could probably manage with what we've got till then if we think he's worth it. Bit of a risk but he got 10 in 13 games last season before the injury so if he can get back to that kind of form then he's more than enough. I'm not advocating we do it necessarily - just pointing out an option.

Having heard the press conference and the latest transfer news, I'm going with: Baz KWP Bednarek Stephens Manning Charles S Armstrong Alcaraz Aribo A Armstrong Edozie The big call will be who replaces Tella. Sam AA probably deserves it but I reckon we'll go with Aribo because RM seems to like him and talks a fair bit about him. I'm hoping this and the Plymouth games are squad wise the weakest we put out. Tight game and still don't think we're anywhere near a clean sheet but I'm going for 3-2.

I haven't really seen much of Fraser recently but doesn't he usually play on the left and cut inside? Just thinking that would make him more like competition for Edozie (or replacement for Sulemana) than a replacement for Tella. Obviously they can all play on either wing to an extent but would have thought we would be looking for someone more used to playing on the right if it's to fill a Tella shaped hole.
