Pressing needs to be all or nothing. It has to be 100% or drop off organize and stay compact. I think we weren't always organized and this is why Swansea were allowed to play. Too many times Swansea were given the opportunity to shoot from distance and we know from last season just how dangerous that can be.

I gave up my well paid job to become a poorly paid full time trainer. I am in The process of acquiring my UEFA B license. I have been in contact with the club who have very kindly shown me the pathway into Southampton. You have to be very qualified and not just in experience to work at Saints. It's my dream to work in Saints academy and I will achieve it.

I do think there needs to be an FA enquiry into the conduct of teams unsettling players to achieve possible transfers

Alpine is a passionate Saints fan just like we all are. Anyone who speaks negatively about him would immediately change their opinion if they met him. He's a normal family man and I will always go out of my way to have a beer with him. Please the usual people stick to trying to score points with me and lay off Alpine. Southampton do their business quietly unlike other teams.

To say that Gaston is not interested is wrong. In pre-season he worked his socks off to impress RK. I watched him in most of the training sessions in Austria. If you saw him you you would have a different opinion. The problem with Gaston is that he doesn't suit our type of play. He's not our type of player. He's more of a Le Tissier than an Brett Omeroyd. He just doesn't have the condition to close down opposition. He can't tackle. He is a genius with his close control and vision, but he isn't fast and clearly was a symbolic purchase by our previous chairman. Just like Le Tissier you either love him or hate him. Alan Ball would have built a team around him.

I don't believe he was Turkish. He was looking forward to the new season. I knew by the responses from Clyne and Schneiderlin that they were off, but Wanyama was different.
