Nathan Redmond Joins on 5 Year Deal - Official
Andy Durman replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Very good Brexit transfer well done Les Reed -
The point I'm trying to make is that Koeman is criticised for not playing the youth, but some of our senior players have very big shoes to fill and I don't see the youth quality. JWP and Targett perhaps being the exception.

If we are committed to youth then we already have Victors replacement.

Fantastic signing!! Well done Les Reed -
I feel sorry for Ronald. He's just made a very big career mistake and lost a huge amount of respect.

Boruc wanted to play football

The 'Southampton Way' has been working on this scenario probably since the arrival of Ronald Koeman. Expect this to be a very smooth transition. Exciting times at Southampton!

Don't underestimate the role of Sammy Lee

FdB, Emery and any other good European coach.

FDB ticks all boxes -
Southampton has designed the winning formula NOT RONALD KOEMAN. He has an important role, but will be replaced with a man equally as good if not better.

Thought I'd start a thread. Any news please post here. Thanks

Anybody in doubt about JWP might want to look at his contribution today. -
Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Crystal Palace

The game was screaming for JWP and boy what a difference he made -
This is a game for workers. I would rest Tadic and Pelle. Close down hard and hit them with pace. I see 3 points
-
Does anybody have a stream for this game?? I couldn't find it on my usual
-
I went to Dagenham Redbridge when we won 3-1 that was a great day out
-
Ball going into goal, hits arm moving towards ball. Absolute stonewall penalty, unless your a f**king useless referee
-
Poor from Martinez
-
It's the hope that kills you. The unfair dismissal of Wanyama, the return of Pelle, the return of Tadic, the injury to Long, the return of Martinez, the red card of Fonte, the loss of confidence by Forster, the injury to Cedric, the disappearance of Targett, the tinkering, strange substitutions, average slow football Yeah I can see why I've lost interest.
-
Fonte whilst just one players, brings considerably more. His leadership and organisational skills are so important. Yoshida lacks any consistency. A great guy, but makes too many mistakes. I agree that these mistakes would reduce if he played week in week out. I am not optimistic and predict more misery. I really had great hope of a European spot, but by virtue of bad luck and poor managerial decisions, I've really lost interest.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland

A back 3 of Bertrand, Fonte and VVD with width, defensive support and most of all speed from Targett and Cedric. Two fast strikers, two holding players and Davis linking the play at No. 10. Ronald Koeman you found the answer and then decided to ask the question again. This is why you are not yet a world class manager. Consistency brings out the best in players. Player rotation whilst sometimes necessary, largely unsettles and affects cohesion. 6 points lost in the last 3 games. Probably more concerning is that Forster has become uncertain. We did ride our luck in our good run of form. The loss of our leader Fonte because of Martina not doing his job is going to make it hard for us to get into Europe. We Stumble On!
