  1. Forster Martina Yoshida VVD Targett Clasie Højbjerg JWP Reed Long Austin Long needs to find his shooting boots
  2. Once again referee is the twelfth man for Arsenal. Referees's directive this season 'favour the big teams'. Scandalous.
  3. Martina gives us more. Certainly his height and heading ability would have prevented one goal we've conceded this season. Delivery of cross last night was certainly enjoyed by Austin.
  4. Somewhat surprising as VVD has been the stand out player. Ow well can't give it to VVD every month.
  5. How can you make such a statement? Every time we had the ball we played 4-diamond-2. I analysed the match and if I could post photos have plenty showing the diamond. We need to stop saying the system doesn't work. It does. It's the finishing that needs improving.
  6. My thoughts after watching Saints at the Emirates. This was an excellent performance and perhaps more worthy of a good result than last years performance. The system and organisation was excellent and everybody seemed to understand their role in formation. The front 3 (JayRod, Redmond & Tadic) were interchangeable. Arsenal didn't have an answer playing against us for the first 35 minutes. Arsenals goal came from a break by VVD. He did ever so well to intercept and drove at the penalty box. What he should have done was shoot, instead he passed square across the penalty box and the ball was intercepted by Arsenal, who then counter attacked and this resulted in the corner. We had 2 chances to clear the corner, but Koscelny to his credit finished well on his birthday. I had begun to doubt the system, but after yesterday I've changed my mind. We created a lot of chances and a better finisher than Long would have had a hatrick. Jay Rod was not very good and deserved to be replaced at half time. Long must score at least one of his chances. Long did win most things in the air, but the players around him must learn how to get onto his flicks. Redmond gives the ball away too easily and this allows the opponent to counter attack. Romeo was my MOM, but he always makes a mistake and we were lucky to get away with one yesterday. Proud of our team yesterday and I'm convinced the results will turn shortly. Onwards and upwards.
  7. Great start 2 chances. Jay Rod playing top of diamond. Arsenal have had no possession
  8. In my seat! Very small midfield. Pleased to see Jay Rod and Bertrand. I don't have much confidence about a positive result, but maybe I'll be proved wrong.
  9. Seriously would it not be better to get a translator who had a bit of character rather than hearing Puel monotone. Or even a comedian. Anything is better than this sleep enhancing drone.
  10. Change is disruption and disruption takes time. Time is not what the paying punter wants to give, who is continually asked to pay more. The signings on paper seem excellent, but the constant rebuilding is tiring. We have already had the players to win the premier league and once again we are pruned by the wealthy. We are a model football club and getting stronger year on year, but the feeling of what might have been hangs heavy in the air. We March On!
  11. Hi Mark! Enjoyed your reply! Berahino fits perfectly. We are looking for a player with lightning pace. That's why Townsend was on the list for a long time. I'm happy with the squad, but Berahino is the icing on the cake.
  12. You're born with speed and Haller wasn't. Saints don't do average. Tadic is too slow, but this is compensated by his immense technical ability and vision. Saints are looking for players born with the raw material.
  13. I have been in the past Ian. Now I use logic and any information I can find. Boufal is a perfect fit to Saints, but we didn't just start negotiations last week. This is the type of player Saints have been looking since they new Mane and Pelle were leaving. Boufal is fast, strong and technically gifted. Logic and analysis also says Berahino is perfect. The question is timing. In the summer he walks for free, but Les did something similar with Charlie Austin. As I have also said my son has become pretty adept in finding good players. And yes I am Saints crazy. Have a great Bank holiday!
  14. The formalities are being tide up now and of course the very important medical, but this deal has been in the pipeline for quite sometime. Saints were always gonna wait to the end of the window for an injured played it's just sensible.

    Puel

A great manager has charisma, character, an air of confidence. He lights up the room when he enters. Koeman, Pochettinio, Mourinho..... This guy doesn't have it.
  16. There are three sides to every story. Speculation is the enemy of calm. Fonte needs to get his head down and start playing like the player he believes himself to be.
  17. I can tell you Fonte is 100% staying. Had a nice pay rise and a chat with Ralph and Les. All good Captain on board. Looking forward to the arrival of a genius.
  18. It's a done deal. Pointless to start paying an injured player until the transfer window ends. Expect this transfer to be drawn out a little longer.
  19. This isn't loyalty. This is accepting that Saints won't be letting you leave under any circumstances, but you can have a pay rise to make you feel better. Teddies back in Priam and 'We March On'! Together as one?
  20. My Son told me 4 months ago that Saints would sign Boufal. He also got VVD correct. He's 11 years old. He works out the players on FIFA and then analyses them. Berahino is also on his list.
  21. Gonna stick my neck out Stanciu is not coming to Saints. We need a fast left footed forward/winger. Stanciu isn't Particularly fast and has a right footed This is a smoke screen
  22. Boufal is our No. 1 summer target. He is this years VVD.
  23. Expect interest as teams get desperate
  24. Ghezzal is too slow. Bad signing. Let him go to Everton. This is not a Saints signing.
