Not really. If an umpire in a game of tennis is 'challenged', does he get all upset about somebody challenging his decision? No. How many serious refereeing decisions have ****ed up the direction of the games in this World cup? Answer is maybe a couple. So maybe 1 blue card per game is required.
David Merrington should always do the commentary IMO.
The team speaks to the ref through the captain right?
Lampard:" Gerro I'm sure the ball was over the line, use a blue card!"
Gerrard: "Hell no I might get a yellow card; are you really sure?"
With all the revelations of poor refereeing in the world cup; I propose the team captain has the ability to use a 'blue card' to challenge referee up to 3 times in a game only.
The captain's blue card would force the officials to consult the video referee up to 3 times in a game to get the important decisions decisions correct.
If of course the initial decision from the referee was correct, the captain would receive a yellow card.
Of course this idea needs refining; such as the colour of the captain's card and how many challenges are allowed but with all the tv coverage of the top level of the game; this would be so simple to implement and would add a hit of tactics to the game also.

Scanning through the PFA free transfer site for a right back was completely fruitless. The best one available was a certain Wayne Thomas.! So we will have to steal a decent on from somewhere.
Mike Oxbig tends to work well with Hugh Jass in previous encounters are anything to go by, so this could well be what they are looking for to turn things around.
I left Sky because I do not want to fund the fishy C U N TS parachute payments.
