  1. Got it now - I'll let you know how it goes after a couple of days
  2. Ah less sophisticated then.
  3. How very true. As I say tho' the OB will be all over it especially if you are making it a regular thing. One sniff of wrong doing ie alcohol and that will be just the excuse they need.
  4. Good idea Stu but you'll have OB crawling all over you/the coach. Tell me again whats the rule/law on drinking alcohol on a coach? Once that starts to happen you'll find it hard to get a coach company to supply the coach.
  5. Totally agree - it will be a long time before any Southcoast team can boast the attendances we have had this season in this league home and away. If things go to plan I see a very bright red & white future for our great club.
  6. Celtic are a massive club in Scotland and with that comes the massive expectation of the fans - 2nd best is just not good enough as far as they are concerned - always thought that was very unreal and just adds to the pressure on any manager. Could Pearson succeed? I think he could but the fans would have him out in no time should the results not go their way. Align that with him being a direct type of person and English and I think he would have about half a season and no more.
  7. I could be wrong but I think he organised the same type of event for that lot down the road when they made (bought I mean) the FA cup final
  8. Most of the ones I know drink in the BP.
  9. Was at a wedding last weekend and met a Saint from NZ - he had re arranged dates etc to be at the game.
  10. ST or GT?
  11. Was thinking that but have decided I want to be back in Southampton with fellow sotonians.
  12. JS -
  13. Yep a couple of good friends on there - will be Sky+ing it just for the **** take of course!
  14. Thats two of the ones I'm refering too.
  15. I might wear a red nose - on second thoughts I'll probably stick with normal attire (why break the habit of a lifetime?).
  16. Stu your on a losing battle here. FWIW - throwing a stone at any other time is no more than a ticking off. Throwing one anywhere near a football stadium get at least a 3 year ban plus other odds and sods. That to me is unfair but as I said that's my opinion.
  17. Home from home (oh and the dopey crest).
  18. Yep I'll be raising a glass or two to a few that won't be making it.
  19. 3 points - not a great performance but thats to be expected given the players out etc. Thought Fonte was superb and Seabourne improved as the game went on. Not sure I like Harding at RB but needs be as needs must n all that. Now on to Wembley. COYRAWM
  20. .+1. No need to read the rest of this thread TBH.
  21. Exactly that - drive a drug underground and you hand control to criminals etc. Educate the masses and you know what - most don't bother as there is no kudos to it. I can't remember where I read it but drug use by the under 18's in Amsterdam is % wise less than any other major city. Mainly down to the fact that Cannabis is legal(ish) in Amsterdam. If you give people all of the information then they can make an informed choice. At the mo' our version of education in this country is just based on fear.
  22. Not sure if its been mentioned on here but the rules and amounts for the parachute payments have changed. In effect they (the teams relegated from the prem) get more dosh. That is just plain stupid in the scheme of things as far as that lot down the road are concerned - hey you mis managed your finances, tell you what here's £25 mil for the next two years. Outrageous - only in the Premier League.
  23. '84 we were great - no doubt about it. I'm hoping for a similar season to '84 albeit in a lower league but anyone that thinks its going to be easy needs to have a quiet word with themselves.
  24. Swindon did the job - they pressed us and gave us no room to move. We lacked a clinical finish. Thought in general we were below par. Ah well theres always next season.
