  1. Would you be happier if West Ham had done the double over us? You can reel out all the ifs, buts and maybes you like, but at the end of the day every team has its "black mark(s)". If me auntie had b*llocks she'd be me uncle
  2. Reading - potentially unbeaten West Ham United - unbeaten Birmingham City - unbeaten Blackpool - potentially unbeaten Middlesbrough - potential double Hull City - potential double Brighton & Hove Albion - won one, lost one Cardiff City - they're unbeaten against us Leeds United - DOUBLE Derby County - unbeaten Leicester City - they did double over us! Crystal Palace - potential double Burnley - unbeaten Ipswich Town - unbeaten Watford - DOUBLE Barnsley - DOUBLE Peterborough United - potential double Millwall - DOUBLE Nottingham Forest - DOUBLE Bristol City - they did double over us! Coventry City - potential double Doncaster Rovers - double not possible Portsmouth - potentially unbeaten
  3. Same with me mate, fair play to the stewards there - let us stand in the aisle/right up at the front for whole of the second half (I was meant to be sat in the lower tier as well)! Still buzzing!!!
  4. Ignore him mate, some people just aren't worth it. I appreciate what you - and all the other mods - do. Hoping Muamba pulls through, looks promising.
  5. I'd settle for that outcome any day; they explode whilst we warp into the Premier League! "Bless you Kelvin - GO RICKIE!"
  6. Favourite Lambert moment - go!
  7. Has community club of the year been announced yet?
  8. Average position of the clubs each of us has left to play: Us - 14.1 West Ham - 10.8 Reading - 11.1 The Saints are going up!
  9. I thought we averaged 17-18k in our 2008-09 annus horribilis
  10. Come on guys, live and let live and all that
  11. You know, now you come to think of it.....
  12. Very good point, without the -10 there'd have been massive pressure on us to go up at the first ask. Without that pressure, achieving all of the above was made far easier
  13. Of course Pardew deserves credit, but I do believe we've moved onto another level with Adkins. Let's not forget Pardew's start to 2010-11: 0-1 vs Plymouth at home and 1-1 vs Leyton Orient at home isn't impressive whichever way you spin it (the oft-quoted 4-0 win at Bristol Rovers didn't do anything to recover those lost points). And even if you disagree with this, the above is massively underplaying Adkins' achievements. Taking over a side that has achieved success with a previous manager can, in many ways, be as difficult as taking over a side in a rut. If it was that easy, why did Dean Wilkins lose all three games he took charge of? And taking it to the extreme, I'm not sure many will fancy succeeding Fergie at United!
  14. I knew I'd forgotten one!
  15. We need people to remember this, regardless of the outcome of this season! Four signatures have been fundamental to getting us where we are now (and I realise they're obvious): Markus Liebherr's, Nicola Cortese's, Nigel Adkins's and Rickie Lambert's.
  16. Interesting to see Boro players' body language and reactions to when moves breakdown or things go wrong, particularly Bailey and Robson. They just look to their teammates as if to say "FFS, you're all useless" - a world away from the unity our players seem to have. Together as one indeed.
  17. I think it's "got him on a free, and he eats sushi" - that's what I sing anyway lol!
  18. His value to us is far greater than his value to any potential Premier League suitor

    Pearce

nothing breaking on ssn at the moment
  20. I reckon we should put in a bid too good to turn down for Pearce and then employ him soley as the guy who announces injury time or something. Just for banter.
  21. I do sometimes wonder how people like this come to be. Yes, they might have had a shocking upbringing, but do we not all have some form of innate morality that tells us right from wrong and good from bad? My faith in humanity is tested more and more these days
  22. I often wonder this as well!
  23. OK, so he had a below par game against Ipswich - but so did a lot of others. Judging him over the season (slightly fairer!), I believe each one of the points in my post is valid. And for the record, I've only missed 5 games this season
  24. Some very unfair comments re Deano on here. He's our best off the ball player in my opinion (somebody very important to the team), always looks to get the ball down and pass it along the floor, has a better passing range than people give him credit for, and a terrific engine. I also can't ever recall seeing him lose possession! We should count ourselves lucky how intense the competition for midfield places is!
