  1. On the subject of empty seats, there seems to be a fair few at the Britannia Stadium this evening!
  2. They had electronic ticketing at Cardiff last night. I had bought a student ticket (only £15) on the basis that I could upgrade if I "forgot" my student ID. As it turned out, no-one checked my ticket; I just scanned it and walked in. For that reason, I don't think we'll see electronic ticketing at St Mary's anytime soon.
  3. Scout 'em out Nige!
  4. Sky Sports 2 (Soccer AM) - not sure of time though, trying to find that out myself atm!
  5. Back on topic because you were about to lose the debate with MLG on ambition? You are tragic.
  6. Agree with not having technology in football, should be the same game whether played at the top level or in the Sunday leagues. One of the few sports where this is still the case.
  7. It terms of optimism, there hasn't been a better time to be a Saint in my lifetime (I'm 24). Even in 2002/03 there was an underlying feeling that it was a special season and one that would not be repeated too frequently. Now, I believe we have the potential to go beyond the achievements of that season, even if it is early days
  8. I've often thought this. And given that the lack of wage cap in the Southern League allowed us to poach the best players from the (wage-capped) Northern League, there's comfortable justification that we were the best team in the country at the time. Campaign to get these league titles recognised anyone?
  9. I lolled!
  10. Just turned round during the game and shouted shut up (or words to that effect) to the Saints fans behind his goal, nothing serious (nice to seem some passion as well I suppose). He kissed the badge pretty soon afterwards to try and redeem himself; not sure it worked too well given the fact we were in the process of getting battered!
  11. I was at Sheff Wed when we lost 5-0 and Kelv reacted to fans having a go at him. Felt for him that day and so glad he's turned it around. Quality keeper and quality guy by all accounts. Can anyone name another footballer who's managed to go from zero to hero so unequivocally!?
  12. Yes, yes, yes and yes. Next?
  13. Are they? I thought on the whole they still backed him, performances on the whole haven't been that bad and he's put a fairly decent squad together imo
  14. I fear he'll be providing some ammo for the negatives in due course
  15. Good point well made.
  16. I think they have programmes from prior games available to buy in the club shop for a few weeks/months after the games themselves have been played, so you should be OK. I've been wrong before though!
  17. Wasn't there chat about him saying to Markus he wouldn't settle for mid-table mediocrity; he was a winner and wouldn't be happy until Saints were winning trophies etc. I know this is a long way off (maybe even a pipe dream of sorts!) but it would mean that the family and he could be here for a long while yet. Also correlates with the investment in the training ground/academy and the "Barcelona" vision. The 5-year plan was an initial plan, mark my words..
  18. I don't think just having a season ticket will be enough - it'll be season ticket + x away games
  19. This game is almost certainly going on sale to season ticket holders who have been to x away games first, it's what x will be that matters. I'm a STH and will have been to at least 4 away come this match, but still not certain that'll be enough. I also seriously doubt we'll have an allocation of 3k as mentioned above, Skates will sell whatever their maximum allocation (they really hate us) which will probably leave us with around 1k
  20. ...of the 92 football league clubs have you seen Saints play against? Watching on TV doesn't count, approximate figures will be accepted. For me: - all of the Premier League, bar Wigan (and possibly Swansea, can't remember) - all of the Championship - all of League One, bar Wycombe, Stevenage, Chesterfield and Bury - Torquay, Southend, Swindon, Bristol Rovers, AFC Wimbledon*, Dag & Red, Northampton, Bradford and Plymouth in League Two I suppose we've seen more than most in the last few years given our jaunt through the leagues - and they say Man Utd fans have all the fun! * I've seen us play Wimbledon!
  21. This. Good to see so many people shoot him down as well
  22. No idea, but LOL at the look on Dickson's face as Chappers gets taken down (photos 19 and 20)
  23. Probably more motivated when playing in the Championship
  24. Most important CM at the club. I'm sorry to say it, but Morgan had another largely anonymous performance yesterday. What he did, he did well; he just let too much of the match pass him by
