I'm not saying "my life's great, look at me" (and I think you know that), I'm saying some people need to lighten up a bit; maybe let some of Adkins' positivity rub off on them Life's short, enjoy it (especially as Saints are doing so well )

Jesus, some people on here. I bet I get more enjoyment from life than they do.

Leven's was a long-ranger from what I've heard. Yawn.
-
That does seem to be the case, click as many times as you can people! I've got Leven to below 40% so done my bit

I thought it might be fun to pull together a set of photos that best illustrate the most pivotal and memorable moments in Saints' history. I'll start with the relatively recent (and obvious): Feel free to add your own - it wouldn't be much of a thread otherwise! - and we could look to put together a picture timeline of sorts. Looking for good, bad (first Ted Bates statue), subtle and obvious. And if it's a picture of a person, try not to use any old picture, use the most iconic Go!

Yeah I heard that as well. He's actually had some nice stuff to say about Saints on twitter though - something along the lines of great to see us flying at the top of the Championship.
-
Just spoke about us on 5Live and, again, was full of compliments. He took issue with Ian Payne saying we were "expected to do well as we had money behind us", pointing out we'd sold Chamberlain for £12-15m and hadn't actually spent that much in the summer, just spent well. He also corrected Ian Payne who didn't seem to know Markus had died. Said we destroyed Middlesbrough yesterday, and every game he'd seen us in (West Ham, Birmingham etc.) we'd played well; whether it be grinding a result or battering someone. Did say it's funny how fast things in the Champ can change tho - uh oh!!

The guy's quality. Unfortunately some people like to have a scapegoat

What a great choice Adkins has with these two fighting for a start. Special mention to the amount of times Richardson has cleared the ball off the line this season.
-
Totally with you on this one, mate. Well done for standing up against such ignorance. Unfortunately it's far too commonplace
-
I think he was probably referring to the relative nobodies who used to get freebies and the general freebie culture. I managed to get one once (and I'm a relative nobody!) through a mate of a mate of a cousin who used to work at the club (in an admin capacity I think). On that basis, Cortese probably had a valid point!

A gentleman's 32nd. I was in the dizzy heights of the top 10 until 2 or 3 horrific gameweeks!

Well said. I hope if/when the run does come to an end, the players get a standing ovation as they leave the pitch. Is my hope misplaced?

I'd imagine that's the headline used in the paper itself (where there's a more extended article) - the website often only offers teasers to full stories. Could be wrong though.

As I understand it.. We went into admin owing c.£25m, we paid off HMRC in full and Norwich Union (owed c.£20m for stadium) and Barclays (owed c.£4m overdraft) accepted c.20p in the pound. Skates went under owing c.£125m, all creditors (including HMRC and charities) accepted 10p in the pound. Can anyone correct/elaborate?

Palace 2 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction Thread

That is testament to what Adkins has achieved here. Our away form is considered a worry ("desperate" is a bit excessive!) to some, but in reality it isn't that bad. We've just become so used to winning.. Special mention to away support - over 2,500 for midweek cup game and weakened side! -
Barnard on the bench tonight..
-
Or we'll have one of those performances where things don't quite go our way, and batter them.
-
Chill out - we'll have one of those performances where everything clicks and batter them.

Absolute carnage, particularly the Rasiak one!
