Maynard misses pen..

One of my pet hates re match highlights is reduced crowd volume and pre-recorded commentary. The DVDs I've bought from the Saints store are guilty of both; the BBC (and many other media outlets) are largely only guilty of the former - but why do it!? Should be all about hearing the roar as a goal goes in!

The contract he signed in January would have had a promotion wage increase written into it. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in the £15k-£20k range at present, which he absolutely deserves

True, but that's comfortably the worst I've seen him play. I rate him (particularly his passing out of defence) and thinks he's more than adequate as a back up.

Could this be a strategy? Appear to go for both and use the "well, we'll just go for Rodriguez/Maynard [delete as appropriate] if you're going to quote us a ridiculous price" line if they ask too much? Another NC masterstroke, what a guy.

Totally agree mate, best option if you want uptodate players etc but without all the diets/training nonsense is to get the PSP version (PSP required).

I hope so, but surely if contracts had been signed an announcement would have been made? If not by us, then by the selling club. I'm not sure, especially in this day and age, we'd have been able to get everything signed and keep it quiet! And if by done you mean one of those gentlemen's agreements, then brace yourself for a sudden bump up in asking price!

One problem with this deal = clubs inflating the prices they quote us (Cortese mentioned this being a problem in January as clubs expected Oxo to go then)
