Not sure about that, most comments on here and Facebook are of the "It's alright" verity.

I don't mind us moving away from the stripes every now and again. Stripes are part of our identity for sure but as long as it's not more than once every 4-5 years, I'm all for trying another design. I know we didn't have stripes the season before last but because it was an anniversary and a sash is still a kind of stripe, I'll include it. Don't we usually announce the kits all together?
-
Already kicking off on Facey about it. I don't hate it! This is probably my favourite 'non stripe' kit so far.
-
I don't think he tackles well and don't think he passes that well. Pressing maybe but that's not a technical attribute, that's a mental one.
-
I always thought it was the 60's until quite recently when the landlord of my local pub mentioned that he was actually the first player to ever receive a physical red card for Notts County!

Everyone seems to dislike Gareth Bale at the moment for having the cheek to choose his own career path. I think it's terrible that he wants to get as much money as he possibly can whilst spending a year in a City that lots of people dream of holidaying in in order to play for his country in the first world cup in decades. Disgusting behaviour
-
Ricardo Fuller anyone? Not the PL anymore but always hated him. Not just because of his trying to score from a drop ball that he was meant to give back to us that one time but just generally came across a bit of a tit. Annoyingly brilliant on his day though.
-
Matter of opinion. Watch him get exposed at City and within 18 months, he'll be loaned out to Villa, be a bit part player, return to City and be sold to whoever has just been promoted at the time.
-
Phillips is genuinely an awful player. He had one good game for England last summer and has lived off it ever since. No idea what he's even meant to bring to a team. Not much better than Winks.
-
Except if they play for us and win us penalties or free kicks.
-
I reckon we could offer them AA back (at least on loan) to sweeten.
-
Game time as in pre season friendlies.
-
Signed a new contract a couple of months ago. There's more to come from him.
-
Ideally: Get rid of Beg, Stephens, Redmond, Walcott, Djenepo. Bring in 1 new CB (two if Lyanco happens to leave as well as the other two), give that 16 year old striker, Simeu and Short a good amount of game time, bring in one ball winning midfielder to take the pressure off Romeu, a "shadow striker" as they're called on FM along with at least one goal scorer. Also, a versatile full back who can cover either side. I'm not expecting all of that to happen but that's what I'd really like.

Are Saints funds being used to fund a Turkish Div 2 club?
Bad Wolf replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
Yes he absolutely is and I can't believe that's a serious question. In regards to the topic of the thread, no we're not being used to finance them. Has this model actually failed anywhere? RB, City owners etc all seem to do pretty well out of it. -
I whole heartedly agree with everything but the last bit
-
Gives 100%, brave, hard as nails, threat from attacking corners. What we've lacked for a couple of years IMO.
-
Never known a player divide the fans with such polarity before. It seems that half of us think he's utter trash and half think he's absolutely brilliant. There seems to be no middle ground! Out of interest, does anyone on here think he's just "alright"? Personally, I'm in the "he's brilliant" camp. Far superior to Bedgnerak and Stephens. I also love his little querks!
-
I've never seen that from him when playing at CB. He played as part of a pair against Spurs when we had 10 men and produced a man of the match performance.
-
I know they're not. Like I said, extreme example I know. Hmmm 100 million is a lot of money! I'd probably take it but I can certainly see the argument against.
-
He is if someone wants to pay it
-
So someone offers to buy him for £100 Billion and you turn them down? Obviously that's an extreme example and not realistic however I do feel think that's the issue with this "not at any price" attitude. Everybody has a price and sometimes, it's too good to turn down.
-
The Long thing (giggidy) is baffling, I'll concede that one. I don't really care how he left, the fact is he's gone. And yes, the players mentioned above also needs to go but it feels like there's some effort being made to make that happen. In terms of Valery though, I'm happy to see him stay as a back up CB. As I said on another thread earlier, he's not put a foot wrong when he's played there.
-
We still got rid of him at long last. Of course, he may have got rid of us as well but still. One player who isn't good enough and didn't really want to be here gone regardless of the circumstances.
