Not really a disaster. At worst, rather poor. His loan season was okay. It was only last season were it looked like his legs had gone.

There are about 5 clubs in the world who aren't stepping stones and we're not one of them. That's no bad thing either, I really don't want us signing players who see Saints as the biggest club they're ever going to play for. I want players to have their heart set on being noticed by one of those elite clubs and bust a gut to get a move there. Never know why everyone gets so arsy about us being a 'selling club'

Always used to be every 2 years when I was growing up. Then we had the 125 years kit (I want to puke just thinking about that awful crest) and so changed for that year and since then it's been every year. The crafty little buggers.

He grew up in Germany so there's a good chance he speaks about 3-4 languages. It's a big part of their education system over there.

I would have thought he'd be ideal for a Championship team wanting to force a playoff push. Still got legs on him and has tons of experience now. Also he's not too bad from attacking set pieces and can play in a few positions. He just doesn't do any of that to PL standard.
