Nobody realistically available would excite me tbh. I think we should have gone for Gerrard and as much as I like Thomas Frank, he's actually doing a worse job at Brentford than Paul Jewell did with Wigan in their first season up. Not saying he's worse than Jewell but I haven't seen enough of him to make me desperate to bring him in.

I disagree. At worst, it's been about 50/50.

But he offered to resign and walk for free after both 9-0's and we rejected it so I think he would accept it without much compo. For all Ralph's managerial faults, he's an absolutely lovely man who genuinely cares about the club. Probably too lovely. That's never been in question.

Also those who have gone. You can't say Ings, Hoj and Vest didn't improve under Ralph.

I think a United or Liverpool, in years to come would rather take a chance on someone who's done well with Brentford and Southampton than just with Brentford. Also, he's mates with our chairman.

I like Ralph but very hard to defend him after that. Sacking Ralph now would be extremely counter productive. I honestly think he'll go at the end of the season and Frank will come in. How would people feel if the club announced tonight that Ralph was departing at the end of the season but would stay on for the remaining games? May create a better atmosphere, we'd get to say goodbye on relatively good terms and managers who want the job would have longer to apply before the end of season sackings start.
