If we'd deserved to win, we would have won. Brighton scored the same amount of goals as us and so deserved to draw. Not sure why everyone seems to consider missed chances and loads of possession somehow more worthy of a win than scoring goals.
-
Our second half performance wasn't terrible today though was it. But for that one moment of stupidity from JWP, we'd be calling it a perfect second half performance. One moment like that doesn't take something from 10 to 1.

I'd love Redbull to take us over. Also wouldn't really care if they changed our name as long as they invested like they invented in the other two they own. Move with the times #RedBullSaints

Because BFS is the one I'd probably go for and Lampard seems to be everyone's first suggestion.
-
Not even sure who could come in for Ralph even if I did want him out...BFS is the only available manager I'd take. Lampard - No thank you. He's still not done anything of note as a manager and he's trying to rebuild his managerial career to get back to the top so he'd probably be off as soon as a slightly bigger job comes calling. Unlike Gerrard who had actually accomplished something and has his eye on one particular job and would have to do bloody well to get it.

Not a bad response really. It's the early goal that shellshocked us and forced us to fear the worst. If we'd conceded that goal now and everything else had played out exactly the same, we'd probably be calling it a half decent performance so far. Also, we've gone from 27/1 to 25/1 to 20/1 in the last few minutes!

I dunno about that one. Though that's usually the case when players leave us (particularly when they go to Liverpool) I think he was the exception and was lauded as being world class even when we had him. As I say though, the sentiment is correct that is usually what happens. Pretty sure Mane was only seen as "quite good" when we had him. As for Ralph, looks like Gerrard IS definitely going to Villa so it's just the mighty Norwich that we have to worry about...
-
If Forster had had that game everyone would be foaming at the mouth...Outstanding from McCarthy, two great saves, brilliant distribution and all round solid performance.
-
And I'd keep him because he isn't. Stale mate.
-
Shhhh that doesn't fit the narrative of our entitled, spoilt brat fan base who hate everyone and everything about the club.

New striker put straight into the starting line up New striker scores one-on-one Other team come back and win 3-1 That was a carbon copy of Gabbiadini's debut
-
We're clearly going to lose because it's a bogey ground, they're a good team, new manager and we rarely win on opening day. Please can we try not to overreact when we get beaten?
-
In all fairness, it didn't when I initially posted it. I just got so excited that I didn't bother checking for stupid details like that. I'd like to say that it will teach me...But it won't. So when I saw the poor photoshop, I put the disclaimer in the post

Ah it's photoshopped but still looks great.

In for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain according to TalkSport:

Saints win in pre-season friendly: It's just preseason, don't get carried away, we're still terrible, results mean nothing in preseason. Saints lose in pre-season friendly: OMG WHAT WAS SH1T, THIS IS THE WORST TEAM I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE, RALPH OUT, BOARD OUT, PLAYERS OUT, FANS OUT, RESULTS ARE EVERYTHING AT THIS STAGE TO GIVE THE TEAM CONFIDENCE!!!

What's a VPN? How do I change it? In idiot's terms - How do I watch the game?
-
Can't see it on Bilbao's YouTube channel as suggested, can't see it listed on hesgoal either. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Ffs KWP puts us 1-0 up with an absolute cracker...Does he not realise we're trying to have a meltdown here?!

Saints discard Danny Ings aged 13 like an empty bag of crisps for being too small. I went to school with Danny and the way the club went about it was not nice. But he owes us loyalty or something...Our fanbase are hilarious at times. For the money he's on, I'd quite happily ditch Saints for Pompey. It's a business, clubs are employers and fans are customers. It's been that way for a VERY long time (long before the PL came into being despite popular belief). Far too many fans are unhappy because they expect players to have the same affection for clubs that they do but they don't and even if a player did have that affection (as I mentioned above), it'd still be pretty hard to turn down. Danny has a family to think of and has to do what's right for them. Yes he's probably set for life but why not set his kids up too? And once he's managed that, set his grand children up as well? The fact that Villa have payed this much for Ings with his injury record and contract situation means that he must have had a great time with us, and he has done! I have no issues with players/managers using us as a stepping stone because it means they'll have to do well. Do we really want to be making signings for players who see Saints as the absolute top of their career? Ings was under contract, another employer has paid a damn good amount of money to get him out of it so they can employ him and we've accepted. In reality, we'd all be whinging if we hadn't accepted. Wish Danny all the best (except against us) but no player is bigger than the club.
-
I think it means the opposite - He's settled on Forster so play the players not quite in his plans in order to give them one last chance to impress. Same reason Tella isn't in IMO, he's done enough. The only exception is Ings because he's our talisman.
-
Forster and McCarthy are both as turd as each other tbh. Much chance of a stream?
-
Ralph is too nice. Despite being tactically inferior, Pardew or Hughes would have marched onto the pitch and not moved until it's looked at again.
-
Absolute joke!!! We need to complain about this. Our treatment by officials is ridiculous!!
