Long's offside may well have been a pathetic decision but we've had worse go for us this season. It was no more silly than disallowing Kane's goal a week or so ago.

The Lallana rumours are back! Some random twitter account saying he's joining us for free. Doesn't seem to be an even slightly credible source mind. Still, this link just isn't going to go away until he retires.

I can remember several underhit passes by the best players in history. Stephens is very good with the ball at his feet IMO but he's a bang average CB, probably worse than average who's in a good run of form. I'd have liked to have seen him play more games as defensive midfielder where timing and anticipation (two things he's awful at) wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Probably not a huge amount more than we paid. £30 million at most, I think clubs will still be very wary of his injury record. Though the fact that he is actually only 6 months into his contract should put them off a bit as well. If he carries on like this and stays injury free for the next year or so, we really need to look at extending said contract.

He wasn't very good before that. He had a brilliant defence in front of him yet still struggled to save anything lower than his waist, couldn't get across to save anything that wasn't straight at him, had no command of his penalty area and his kicking is atrocious. I've never met Forster but I've read a few accounts of people that have and from what I can gather, he's a really nice guy so I'm pleased things are working out for him back at Celtic but sadly he's never been very good for us (excluding games played against Arsenal where he always seemed to be world class for some reason).

I'd take a draw. 8 points from Arsenal away, Watford home, Norwich home and Newcastle away would be a very acceptable return considering. On a side note, does anyone else think Steve Bruce is a very underrated manager? Does a solid, steady job wherever he goes just without achieving anything spectacular. Give me him over Marco Silva or Roberto Martinez any day. Plus he always seems to big us up.
