Yep. I just don't see what he brings to the team.
-
Our summer business isn't done yet: the window doesn't SLAM shut until 1st September. Maybe worth waiting until then to rate this window's business.
-
I wonder if there are posts on any other teams forums, with posters saying how they really need to be signing Redmond, Bednarek, Valery, etc? My gut feel is that the odds are against this.
-
Would be great for us, but obviously not the type of signing we make.
-
Yep. The AA leaving rumours have gone quiet too. Wasn't he linked to Watford a few weeks ago?
-
I reckon we've reached an agreement to sell him, but won't finalise it until we get the striker we're chasing. Dominoes.
-
Nope. I'm not buying that.

I'm trying to be positive: we never win our opening match and Spurs will be pushing for top 4. The lack of a proper striker really showed today: AA was hopeless: no movement and zero ability to hold up the ball. Powder puff upfront. Guess Adams is off? Why else wouldn't he have been picked (plus the few pre-season run outs). Still have work to do with the squad: how can Bednarek, Valery and Stephens still be getting game time? With that defence, it was never going to be tight. Guess ABK isn't up to speed yet. And Djenepo instead of Perraud?! No need to push the panic button quite yet. Just the first game of the season. I'm still pro Ralph. But can we sign Coady please? And a proven striker? Preferably one who's a bit of a beast. Oh, and another creative player. And while we're at it, how about shifting Djenepo, Bednarek, Stephens, Valery, Redmond and AA?

No yellow? How!?
-
Oh dear. 4-1

I do think Adams would work well with Aribo upfront. Maybe he is moving on.
-
AA and Valery.
-
Stephens and Stu on.

JWP!!

Presumably some late window madness to enjoy in the next few weeks. I'm off to a sex-shop in Stoke to stock up with TV presenter essentials. Anyone want anything?

We'll be fine, assuming we get the new starting striker in. Champions: Man City Next bunch - Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham Next bunch - United, Newcastle, Villa, Middles (any order...from these) - Leicester, Palace, Wolves, Brentford, Brighton, Saints Bottom 3 from - Forest, Everton, Leeds, Fulham, Bournemouth

Personally, I did care for the post highlighting that it is unlikely many people care. However, the post suggesting people may not care about people having posted their views on caring did not sit so well. In short, I did not care for it. I think. Confused myself a bit to be honest. Still not recovered from all the jizz stuff earlier.

I think, and hope, that you're on the money with this. IIRC RH made similarcoments a couple of weeks back about a striker coming in and it seemed to indicate a specific signing (rather than a 'we'll get one'). Perhaps we are just waiting for the dominos to start.

We do? Who?
-
Brentford had a pretty good record picking up and developing strikers, so maybe Rasmus/SR are confident we can recruit a couple better than Che?
-
Hmmmm. Wonder if he is actively looking to move? Would be mental to let him go without having a very good replacement in the door..... meaning 2 new (very good) strikers needed.
-
Would we be stronger if we signed a Delap/Broja level striker, sold Che and brought back Ings? I still have a feeling Ings will be back.
-
Nice (offside) goal. We seem to have a little more creativity.
-
Strength and quick feet. And a very cool finish.
