As discussed many times betting odds are largely irrelevant in these matters as it only takes a few tenners to shift the market hugely, HOWEVER.....things are different on Betfair and the fact that in the last few minutes somebody has put £500 up to back him to stay at odds on suggests they at least think they know (!) he is staying....
-
As it says....
-
Apologies for bring betting into this (as usual), but are those in the "Duh, it's so obvious he's going to Liverpool - he always was" camp aware they can back him at odds against to do just that?
-
Me for one....
-
Good example of "aftertiming" in today's game imo - "lovely to see such a confident one touch finish from Gabbi" seems to be the general feeling whereas if the keeper had shut his legs it would have been "an absolute sitter and he hits it STRAIGHT at the keeper - worrying!".
-
Not long now till the anyone but Puel brigade become anyone but Mope imo.....
-
If you want to be even handed about dealing in facts rather than speculation/opinions we don't know your first two points to be facts at all. It is what we have been told, but....
-
The second was a peach for sure......
-
No offence, but that first goal against Palace had nothing to do with MLT's talent and was 100% just a keeper howler....
-
Sadly (some would say tragically) that Echo piece is the biggest sign yet that he is going to Liverpool in this window imo.
-
Been heading that way, but Betfair market now says it definitively - it's Pellegrino.
-
A good example of how, if you know where to look, the betting markets are absolutely relevant (paying attention Pamplemousse? ) ....Ryan Giggs - plenty of paper talk, plenty of forum talk, 13/2 with Skybet....but I am about to put up £100 at 14/1 on Betfair and i'm as certain as I can be not a bean will be taken because the people that know, know there is just no way it is happening (and if anyone does take it, more fool them).
-
As I said earlier on the thread it is a question of knowing where to look and how to decipher it.
-
It's not "silly" it's an exchange not a traditional bookmakers - if there was only £4 available at that price and you took it of course it then moves to the next price available. If you want more at a bigger price you can request it and it may get matched. The market has not been up long so there is not much liquidity in it yet...

For those that believe sky sources count for nothing (definitely the case sometimes) and that layers on Betfair are irrelevant (not so much) you can now have 20/1 Tuchel....
-
As with anything like this (opinion polls for example) it is a question of knowing where to look and what to decipher. If you think that all of our recent appointments (Poch aside) weren't signposted in some way by the Betfair market then you are kidding yourself.
-
A very simplistic view.
-
Market seems to concur with matey from Sky - pennies available to back Tuchel available at 6/4 half an hour ago, chunks at 5/1 (and rising) now....
-
Guy from Sky tweeting Tuchel not interested.....
-
Market up on Betfair.....fairly thin at the moment with Tuchel and Nagelsmann the only two to see any money so far.

Free money for the bedwetters to buy new sheets.

And, of course, if we had lost it would indeed have been a long thread. After a thumping 4-0 win shock horror, it's all gone quiet... -

The point i'm trying to make is that "we" have to suffer "we've got no chance, we'll get stuffed" all week from people who obviously don't REALLY believe what they are writing or else those prices wouldn't be available. For what it's worth (probably not much) I think we should be favourites, but not by the margin the market has us. -
We are currently a shade of odds on to win today on Betfair, with Sunderland available at a whopping 3/1 (a touch more actually). Seeing as with our useless players, complete lack of bottle and JOKE of a manager a home win is the only realistic outcome this represents a fabulous opportunity for you. Before you come back with the standard "I don't bet against my team" reply may I remind you that your bet will of course have no bearing on the outcome rendering that argument completely pointless. Fill your boots boys....(unless of course you are more interested in spouting hot air on an anonymous forum rather than using your vast footballing knowledge to win yourself hard cash).

I presume all of those who think we are not only in a relegation fight but also odds on to lose it if we keep Puel would be fairly surprised if I told them we are 33/1 to get relegated on Betfair? Probably get more than that if you asked for it...
