  1. RD: Listen, I know you had a disappointing week but we had a worse one and we don't want to kick the fans again just yet. Let him play with two cigars out instead of the usual one against St Johnstone, we'll gub them, he can wave bye bye then sign for you, everyone's happy (er)....
  2. I'm right behind you for the first three of your points - after that you are on your own.
  3. That sounds like one hell of a Toblerone.....
  4. OK, will look into - ta.
  5. My brother has ordered them via his season ticket, but he seems to think it should have come in the post?
  6. No joy from postie here.....
  7. You seem very upset MLG - sorry to hear about that.
  8. Can't reveal my sources (!) but no reason to doubt the info - would be a fairly random thing to make up imo.
  9. ......so my sources tell me - anyone know anything?
  10. I'm surprised you manage to wet the bed with a bone of contention to be honest.
  11. Fancy a bet on that?
  12. Like I said Bilbot, it doesn't change the way I feel in the slightest - if I have layed Saints I still want them to win with just the same sad desperation as always.
  13. I've never understood the "I couldn't bet against my own" brigade. Firstly it makes no difference to the result, and secondly, it doesn't (unless you are not a die hard fan) change what you want to happen.
  14. Those (of whom there seem to be many) who think a point would be good in the circumstances on Saturday and that a win is, frankly, unlikely, may be interested to know you can currently lay us at around 11/8 which seems VERY short to me. Disclaimer - Last time I posted something similar we cruised past Everton....
  15. ....which seems to be just about everybody on here, may be surprised if not startled to see that we are clear favourites for the game on Betfair at around 11/8, with Everton at 9/4. Disclaimer: I usually post this sort of thing to show what a desperate gaggle of bedwetters you are, but on this occasion given the suspensions even I think the prices are wrong...
  16. Touched on aftertiming here before and the stick SD has got for his miss highlights it perfectly. His mistake was not one of decision making, but execution. "Just put your laces through it ffs" seems to be the consensus. If he had placed it neatly in the corner that would have been "what a calm measured finish, resisted the temptation to blast it and made it look easy". And if, God forbid, he had put his laces through it and skied it over the bar "why oh why could he not show a bit of composure?". Very easy to say what could/should have happened when you've seen the result after the outcome.

  18. ....2/1 for a top ten finish and 11/2 to be relegated. I must say I found it surprising that the masses on here who think avoiding the drop "would quite frankly be a miracle" and that those expecting a similar placing as last season are living in cuckoo land, couldn't move the market much beteween the lot of them. I expect it's because they couldn't bet against the Saints on principal or something like that and definitely, DEFINITELY not that they are foot stamping attention seeking children who don't really believe the nonsense they are spouting for a minute.
  19. Which makes it all the more strange that the two of you don't get along.
  20. Didn't think there was anything that would satisfy you, Alpine. Except an unfeasibly large Toblerone maybe.
  21. Everyone apart from RK is available at at least double figure odds on Betfair, Davey - jolly decent of you to leave all that free money for someone else....
  22. And vice versa I dare say....
  23. Having been away from here for a few hours and in answer to people asking about the moves on BF.....betting markets can give you very good clues as to what is really happening if you can read them correctly. If (to keep up with the theme of the day) Gerry Francis is backed from 500/1 to 7/2 with Skybet, plenty of people would thing it MUST mean something, whereas it would mean absolutely zilch. These markets are very different to most as some people KNOW the winner. I'm not suggesting Ralph is permanently logged into BF to nick a few grand, but I dare say someone close to the inner circle wouldn't turn their nose up at it. So how do you get the best return? Not with traditional bookies (try ringing up for £500 on our Gerry and see how much they'll lay you!) who only take pennies on such markets, but on BF. Even here though, you need to be careful - put up ten grand wanting to back RK at evens and you scare everyone away, so you need to do it in dribs and drabs. In conclusion, some of the moves at lunchtime suggested to me that someone knew it was RK and that they maybe didn't have all that much time to cash in. I could, of course, be completely wrong.....!
  24. The activity in the last few minutes on Betfair make me think we are approaching the endgame which will culminate in Koeman's appointment.
