Also any changes were hampered by Pied having to come on for Cedric meaning one less sub. I would have taken off the ineffectual Tadic who was creating nothing at least JWP was with his delivery.

I was disappointed to see him go (didn't boo just a slight moan) he put in some great free kicks and I like how he now was looking to pass forward more now than sideways. Its my problem at moment some like JWP, Jayrod, Hojberg and Clasie put in good performances yet get dropped for people like Tadic who are doing nothing in games. Not sure what else JWP could have done last night and didn't deserve the hook. He offers good protection to the full back too.

Rodriguez came on at that time not Boufal though - who did well I thought. I am sure Gabi played as second striker before and would like to see him have closer support. I am a bit down on Tadic at moment as he has been poor lately yet gets picked Wouldn't two strikers at least be worth a try when 0-0. You think Austin is off then? Why did Tadic stay on? Could we not have bought on Austin a proven goalscorer when we can't hit a cow's arse as well as Gabi? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -
Not sure if posted but saw this and it makes me even more concerned about Lander and Chines owners. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/may/17/milan-new-chinese-owners-money-li-yonghong

What I didn't understand is why the Clyde Best lookalike in midfield was allowed to stroll around unchallenged for most of the game doing what he wanted with no-one anywhere near him....when do you ever see that in the Prem even at our worst we do close down the space. PS Thats the Clyde Best now not the good player at his prime :-)

Made me smile this.. Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko 15m15 minutes ago Foreign owner sacks foreign coach who took foreign players into mid table. Premier League 2017. Frankly. Who cares?

Watford sack Materazzi - no surprise really

In a way I do too as he has not been backed by the board, his coaching staff appear poor, defensively tactics are good as Liverpool games showed, however, there are multiple reasons I can give why I think he needs to go. The Hull game showed those why its time, taking off Gabbi and replacing him with Long instead of as well as, just like for like subs. Spurs home where Rose was murdering us and he just put out the same players in same positions after being mullered for 25 minutes. His treatment of some players that do well then get dropped for games on end and not even in squad...how is that good for morale? Changing 3 of the back 4 in our only probable winning game over Christmas v West Brom - "resting" Austin who had played 1 game in 19 days yet Yoshida played 3 in a week. The sight of Austin played wide left trying to chase the full back will haunt me for ages it was pitiful :-) I couldn't give 2 figs if he is French/German/Belgium/Spanish or how he interviews just I want him to play decent football and have the ability to change a game in our favour and I personally have not seen him do that apart from Davis at Bournemouth. On paper he doesn't deserve the sack but is he really the right man to take us forward I am not so sure? He was brought in to get us further in Europe - he failed miserably on that ok not helped by not hitting a cows arse from a yard Virgil but Beer Sheva and Prague were poor. He was brought in for our academy ...they have just been relegated so no surprise to me having watched them as you can't make a silk purse. If he stays fine I will support him and the team as usual - I have renewed - if he goes then I won't cry like a few on here.

He doesn't need to, he is the one journalist that seems to get most stories correct out of SMS/Staplewood.

Have a look at Simon Peach tweets some will need some Kleenex Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk #saintsfc chairman Ralph Krueger refuses to confirm to us that Claude Puel will be manager next season. Krueger says "still two games to go"

Higher than that too there are so few players as good as Virgil that can dominate a defence. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Yeah players don't bugger off because they get offered better contracts or money it's because a few fans on a dopey messageboard post a few things about the manager...jeesh you are right we have some real intelligence in our fan base!
-
No my venom is aimed at people on here that constantly attack others for having a different opinion on Puel than them and being lazy saying its because of his accent rather than us scoring 8 goals in 14 home games this season! Ok we got 3 against 3 other teams but they were absolute garbage 2 being Leicester, Palace who have now turned around. I can't wait for the rotation to stop and Puel getting more time on the training ground.....oh! Sorry for the rant.....anyway just renewed my ticket again for my 51st year supporting the team.
-
I have not heard anyone say that...what I have heard is that going by his interviews if he copies that onto training ground and dressing room it will hardly inspire the players. Where have you heard the vocal fans say that ? Its certainly not what I and all the people I go with and sit with in Block 35 or in the pubs I drink in or even play with think or say. Most are saying what I posted about tactics, subs etc
-
Absolute cr8p....its Puels negative tactics ,Europa failure, treatment of players, don't score or you won't play again(Clasie) lack of influence in a game well positive, rubbish substitutions thats what makes the crowd decide not a few fans posting on a fans forum. He has not been backed by board , had some bad luck with injuries but has he made the most of what he has at his disposal has he b0llox! Just rant in the press and you get to stay on despite being absolute cr9p for 4 games now. Perhaps you and the other gushing lickspittles should spend more time at the ground watching games rather than attacking forum posters you might see why many are turning against Puel after giving him the benefit for most of the season.

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day

Almost certainly being next Barca manager according to all the press. Good pedigree though. -
Now McQueen is fit I would try 3-5-2 we have 2 good attacking full backs. Most sides only play 1 up. Gabi needs support as does Romeu. Even with a reluctance to play Caceres we could play Bertrand on left of centre worked for Koeman. Current style isn't working. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
