I wondered if they will allow what they do at Chelsea/Arsenal and allow sales via Viagogo - obviously don't at the moment. http://www.viagogo.co.uk/Sports-Tickets/Football/Barclays-Premier-League

Southampton interested in Newcastle GK Freddie Woodman
Give it to Ron replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Not sure why that is though as we have 3 other keepers around that age level - Britt being one - although I can't see anything in Cropper from the games I have watched him in (about 6) he was very poor. -

I was at a talk by Les Reed the other week and it maybe due to the new plan we have (replace old 5 year one). Every age group now has specialist teams diet, education, specialist age related coach from under 8 right up through all exactly the same. all have their own pitch - or nearly. I was at Staplewood on Saturday and its amazing how its changed in the last couple of years - the new dome looks massive and "I believe one of the biggest in Europe". The extra staff could also be security as its a much larger site and has bigger car park etc. plus more ground staff to cover all the extra pitches. -
Nope no replacement called up not surprised used to like Roy but now cant find his arse from his elbow

Not as disappointing as Lallana, Lovren and Lambert(well you can't be if he is not playing!) -
Exactly he was only at the specialist at about 4pm at the Nuffield so shame on him for not letting us know what Dr said.

Whelk how long have you been married? As someone who has for 32 years never hit her, watch about 4 games a weekend, hate B&Q with a vengeance can tell you that there are many times you let them think they wear the trousers. That's not desperate its tactics....
-
As the dad of a ref this is a very good post - I stand on a touchline watching/protecting him from some of the biggest ****s you could ever hear most weekends who have absolutely no idea on the laws of the game. refs get 1 second to decide - pundits sit in the comfort of a warm studio watching it in slow motion from every angle and still get it wrong. I was at a presentation by a top asst ref last year who admitted some refs are too arrogant to listen to them and want to make all the decisions which is why you see some never flag when its even a yard from them. As for help from the 4th official....so what level do you go down to? Conf, league two? Prem only? think of the extra cost - does that alienate the other leagues even more from the holy grail that is the Prem League? Top refs get about 100k a year..my son gets about £20 with no help normally from cheating club linos...no microphones or tv how much tougher will that make it for him and others who do this for a bit of money as the **** Tyro dads will expect him to freeze frame and watch it again from his Iphone :-). I have seen some brilliant young refs in Southampton this year, whats the difference.....positioning....most can get close to play - Dowd for one makes decisions from far too far away.

Yes its exactly that slow sustianable growth - we have a 7 year plan that want to see us qualifying regularly for Europe. We will not go gung ho and put ourselves in the same situation we had 5 or 6 years ago. The aim and ideal is still about 50% academy players in the first team - we have 'blooded' 7 players under Ron so far this year.We do have contingency for players, coaches and managers if they leave - we cannot compete with Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool salary wise - still from our Championship/League One salaries still having some effect as you can only grow that so much under new rules that benefit bigger clubs - 5% or our wage bill is far less than 5% of the top sides like Chelsea, City etc. so they get better deal again. We are punching above our weight but going to give it a real go anyway. Source: Horses Mouth

I was in Liverpool for a few days this week and Besiktas were in town...they would scare the pants off our lot. probably the noisiest fans i have come across in 45+ years of going! There is a post on twitter of them in the centre of Liverpool One outside the Wetherspoons.....

New domestic TV deal announced today, 5pm
Give it to Ron replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
I totally agree with that...also there should be a restriction of foreign players in a match day squad as well to give the academy lads more chance(less cost). We might as a country even do better at internationals - I think Spain and Germany have far more home grown than the UK. -

Loads....many IT companies pay others for R&D. Many have loss leaders and prop up others to keep them going. There is a growing gulf - hadn't you noticed in your little games you administer that several teams had disappeared...guess why? But you are only interested in the glory division.....give me an away day at D&R, Crewe, Plymouth than a day at Arsenal with all the glory hunting numpties you seem so at home with.
