SaintLard was slagging off Adkins in week 2 or 3 and stuck to that regardless of what results we achieved. The building at the back is progressing and the new areas look a big improvement from when SCW was here and you could watch the youth games and access via turnstiles etc. So to answer above yes money well spent and from what I saw - we will recoup a lot of that back on the conveyor belt of talent.

Exactly and also the fact that we are short on experience up front, Pelle and Tadic unknown as to whether they would settle, Gallagher and Rodriguez injured, that left Mayuka who we all know is not the answer. Signing Long was a good option to fit what we required - no-one is saying we didn't overpay just we had to at that time to get what we needed an experienced, proven striker for our squad.

Apologies not the first time I have made that mistake - I just don't understand all this rubbish about Long - we all know he is not a massive goalscorere but he brings totally different dimensions to the team what we had. To post that we should send him back after 3 games is stupid IMO.

So gambling on another unproven Uruguyuan rather than a proven Prem player - yeah that makes sense especially as we have a great record with South Americans.
