  1. I have watched them and would agree with that...from a football view only....a couple look to be very very good.
  2. On The Manager show recently he said his wife is back and forth to Amsterdam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. We certainly looked a lot better with him central than we did with Mane as front man - Mane is so much better just letting roam. We certainly don't lack pace anymore which was always my criticism. Mane, Juanmi, Long and Jayrod gives us better options.
  4. Caulker's header would have been ruled out for a foul - the asst gave it, the ref saw it and waived play on advantage - probably the only time in the first half he did!
  5. 2 things annoyed me today. JWP chipping free kicks onto defenders head all the time. Targett never once took on his man to vary it crossing deep or going backwards. Just like Shaw! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Really why not he had a very good first half. Considering he is supposed to be a cross between Melia, Chatterley and Jermaine Wright I was surprised how decent he was going forward. Never let us down defensively either? What did he do wrong apart from 2 crap throws? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. For his first game ok, very dominant in the air used it well. Was caught by their goal but both Targett and Davis could have done better as well. A good addition to the squad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Good conditioning getting used to Sun/Thursday hopefully risky but they know bedt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Adama for Coutinho is latest. Don't think we have any chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I reckon that almost certainly means we have a defender in this week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Great bowling and Carbs set us on our way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Actually it would have been 2-1 and a different game.....I never mentioned Fonte who was class as usual. Davis, Tadic all made bad passes near our area yet you focus on Yoshida who cleared the ball out by the touchline - it was Davis that was asleep not reacting to the player running beyond him watch it again. I'll just put you down for having a dislike of him and we know to ignore that in future. How do you stand on Marmite?
  13. DAVIS LET HIM RUN BY HIM...easy this shouting bit - Yoshida gives one bad pass and you slaughter him....ignoring all the good interceptions, clearances, reading and support. We have some right blinkered lot pick a player and no matter how good he plays he is crap. I judge a player on his game merits - thats not blinkered that being fair.
  14. Yep...took away all the joy of watching seeing that plum in an advert
  15. Yep someone on here even thought Targett and Yoshida poor....ignored it was Davis that let the guy get wrong side for their shot on goal but guess that's the old football opinions are like arseholes .... What I liked about Clasie was that recently I was listening to a footie programme and they had an old player cant remember now who but he was top drawer in his day and he was saying about how good central midfielders should always be able to see their mates shirt number. Meaning that you are never square, cover each other - there were times when I was watching Clasie last night that he did just that when Vic was maruading across he filled in that space - tracked players runs forcing them across. Same when he did that Big Vic did the same - as I said was disappointed in Clasie passing as expected a few more forward passing but that will come I'm sure. A good football manager once told me its not just what you do on the ball that counts and think Clasie contributed to sniffing them out a lot. Vic was my MOTM followed by Mane and Yoshida.
  16. I think we have a diamond in Clasie I watched how he tracked and closed space. He tried to play a bit safe and under hit a couple but once he settles. Him and Big Vic were breaking up everything first half winning it back. It took Morgan years yet Clasie is expected to fill "Morgan size holes" after 1 game! Cedric looks a great find. 17. Yep he is one I have been tracking and hoping we would go in for - strong, quick and a real handful when playing in games I saw for u19s etc but will he settle abroad playing for them....one we should watch though.
  18. All have something to offer good potential - Connor - Ben is one I really thought looked good.
  19. We also still have the excitement of last day of transfer window....wow 6 players in and looking decent. Big test will be Newcastle away though with Shteeeves first home game
  20. Caulker buys us time as well as we can get VVD if still interested when Celtic go out
  21. I am still waiting on your NC legacy?
  22. I think its because we hold a good hand here for once - his stock has fallen a bit lately so not many willing to gamble that much money. We have a need he meets that in short term until Gardos is back or as cover for anyone of centre backs in cups. Experienced, big, strong decent in air and alongside Jose could rediscover form he had at Swansea and Spurs
  23. Plus Mccarthy....and Yoshida has played right back.....
  24. The academy lads do get schooling and taught there depending on age 2-3 days a week . I may be wrong on one as the lad I was comparing is this years u16 and plated up a year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
