Yep probably if the numbers continue as they are then we may be forced to close 2 stands and push everyone into the remaining 2 from a financial point if not a fans one. Looking at the crowd last night I was surprised to see it at 14k looked a lot less than that and could certainly of put them all in 2 stands plus corners.

You give me far too much credit...I have no political agenda - all I want is to see the stadium full of fans supporting these young kids who are trying their hardest. I am just a fan of some 40 odd years who is in despair at how far we have fallen in such a short time and will continue to fall until we are out of the financial mire. I have no agenda and hate the way that Lowe/Wilde/Crouch/Paul Allen/LLS/Cherrypip have treated the fans of this club but its the team I support not a boardroom full of ego maniacs. If you had gone last night you would of seen why I posted what I did that the sight of the ground half full is soul destroying - so well done if you are a stay away your absence is having an affect whether its doing you any good apart from making you bitter and resentful?
-
Yes probably but like you wannabe mods some of us want our moment of glory!

While I do not want to annoy the Chapel ST holders who have had their seats for years is it not time to rethink the seating situation. Last night the Chapel looked nearly empty - could we not ask them to move into the Itchen or Kingsland and fill the corner at the Northam Kingsland end with the Juniors? Ok I understand the need for segregation between the fans but the Chapel stewards would then not be needed just a few extra ball boys in row ZZ to retrieve BWP crosses and shots ;-) in that end? The atmosphere would be greatly improved and again pen in the away support from 3 parts. Apologies again for regular Chapel goers but last night looked awful in that end. Of course the real issue is the stay aways who are doing the players a disservice as its the team that matters not Lowe/Wilde/Crouch at the moment. Its no good saying administration is the answer as what would stop Rupert and pals then buying it up cheaper there is no guarantee he would be gone.

What isn't: Gasmi Pulis Svennson Euell Schneiderlin Gillett Thomas Homes enough yet? ;-)

A great tactical switch by JP was a big factor in this win, we were getting murdered with Jordan on the left as they strolled through the gap behind him - not his fault we were too lop sided. Jordan to the middle and BWP closing down the space in front of Fish countered the Norwich threat and pushed them back with BWP pace - if not his touch which is further than I can kick it! KD 2 saves were world class not just very good bloody awesome!!! His distribution was excellant too. We need to kill teams off as I never felt comfortable at 2-0 I guess my nerves haven't recovered from Leeds! 3 points is all that matters - we were shocking at times in the first half but terrific at times in the second.

I think most of us can understand getting shot of Dyer...its what he has been replaced with that baffles most of us I believe.
-
and £10 at Eastleigh to watch that standard ! As I posted I think the time has come to perhaps reopen the ST offer the March madness or renewable price to all again and see if we can fill a few more seats that way. Edit Thats what I meant the Early Bird price as its on a pro-rata basis it would be less outlay now for some and the cheaper price would possibly encourage a few more?
-
Isn't that more to the fact we only have been playing one striker against 4 defenders?
-
Chez Seconded but can I also add experienced and defender to that list. We can afford loaning him, Pulis and Gasmi so money cannot be an excuse.
-
We are only getting a walk up crowd(non ST's) of 4-5k at the moment - just wondering if they offered the March madness deal now on a pro rata basis if many would take it up? Wouldn't **** me off as a ST holder and the club needs money up front now.
-
Didn't the Skates try and sign Musampa's brother Kris ;-)

Some of us have been renewing our Adult/Junior ST for years so if that was aimed at me then read the post again.
-
I think the £2 was the local teams that can bring 10 boys and 2 adults for £20 they do this for a few games during the season.
-
Sorry no idea but there was an interesting discussion on Radio Hampshire with David Luker last night. He said there was no chance of tickets being cut as this would alienate the 10k of season ticket holders who would not renew the next season. He did say they would try and promote the kids for £2 to fill the stadium more but again there are quite a few junior ST holders who again would not renew. He said what most of us are saying...until the team wins more games the stadium will be half empty despite anything they try. Good bloke Mr Luker had some good results from him and he came across very well.

Dyer signed a contract for us otherwise he would of gone for nothing..or very little at that time. If he is a success at Sheff Utd then we may get something for him whereas we wouldn't of before. I have no problem really with Dyer off as long as the replacement is what we need and for the life of me cannot see we need a striker more than a defender with Thomas out for the season and Svennson struggling and everyone realising we need more experience in the team.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=10656 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10636 Spot the contradiction here... we have no wingers then loan out one of the only ones we have. Why not just tell the truth its wages pure and simple. We could put 5 strikers in the middle but unless we have someone who gives us width and can cross it whats the point? Moan bloody moan thats all this club is driving us to and thanks for forums like this that allows us to vent our spleen. We need experience and defenders not what we have loads of already. 3 goals in 15 games is not a goalscorer no matter how much you dress it up.
-
Plus a left back plus a great big hairy arsed lump who will kick the ****e out of anyone who comes near our defence and kids. It works for 90% of the teams in this league yet we continue with shorties against giants and why we concede or nearly do from every set piece.
-
Yep thats it for me the route of our problems in the last few years..not one manager has sorted the defence. Until we have a rock solid foundation at the back we will continue to struggle. It is having an effect on the midfield who are frightened to push forward and leave gaps behind - watch how many join into the box on attacks. Good to see we have signed another forward!
-
Ladysaint I have only watched him a couple of times and IMO not yet. Oscar to me is more a central midfielder - breaking up play and getting us going forward. To throw him in now would be a big mistake as we have too many kids in now and one more could see them all ruined for good confidence wise. I would stick with Jake who I think is better than Dyer anyway - just needs experience and his end product is far better than Dyer 'the headless chicken'.
-
Was it poor management or pressure from above to win the game with the best players playing to get us more cash from the next round of the cup? I think its again the lack of cash biting us on the arse.
-
My Granddad won the Croix De Guerre perhaps PSG should be my time.
-
What do you mean 'when the going gets tough' its been bloody tough since Dec 21st 2003 when we stuffed the Skates 3-0...ever since then its been a nightmare and continual downward spiral. Its Ok preaching on message boards but pointless as IMO most of them have turned their back completely now and wont even read about Saints let alone pay to watch until we start winning games again - then they will return. Nothing but winning will see them back - lower prices, Askham/Lowe/Wilde/Crouch all selling up, Lucy Pinder as pre-match warm up okay maybe that one ;-) nothing but victories will bring back the crowd.

Aston Villa 0 - 1 QPR - Brighton 2 - 2 Man City
Give it to Ron replied to monkadill's topic in The Saints
Aston Villa and Man City won on Saturday...when was our last win? I don't think its the fans that need to stick with the plan they have no choice really as in the blood. I think most look at the manager and see a man drowning, I certainly do especially after listening to him on the radio and now reading the Echo today. Things do not add up, McGoldrick looks either knackered or ****ed off although I know he has what I call a lazy gait in the way he moves that can be mistaken for laziness. BWP was criticised by JP then selected next game. Football opinions are like arseholes everyone has one and we all think we can pick a better team unfortunately at the moment I think most could! -
I was there when he did it and believe me it looked bad as soon as he went down! There was no way he would fake that injury ....unless he is a contortionist! Its a shame as he was playing really well and the kids seem to like him and respect him and I believe exactly what we need at the moment. Whether he will rush back having been told him and Thomas were surplus to requirements..who knows maybe he will be a model professional and will but its hardly a motivating thing is it and until January he can still pick up his wages on the sick.
