Yep the wages are always the best thing to look at, especially as players can be bought out of contract etc but given high wages. Always the one to derail the Liverpool fans who say they don't spend money. Easier to attract/unsettle/grab players on a free when offering about 3 or 4 times as much wages.

Was thinking maybe we could pick someone like Lingard up on a free, a player who I think would improve us going forward, but then see he is linked with Juve, Barca, AC & Newcastle. Give that agent a medal if he gets a move to them.
