JWP being tipped for a call up today in the papers. Got no gripe with Chambers being called up, we're crying out for a decent centreback and Callum can become that, but the fact he's there as a right back and Clyne has been overlooked again is a joke. Especially after his Liverpool performance. God I hate the England set up.

Just checked. Boca apparently

What was the club in Argentina he got quoted saying he wanted to end his career with? Maybe they have a young starlet we can do a part ex with.
-
Not in the Italian squad according to a leaked list. Will surely make it harder to sell him for anywhere near a decent fee.

At least we could send Dani on loan to the WWE if we can't palm him off to Juve

I'm normally a bit of a happy clapper and can get tired of some of the negative posts on here but I don't think this is a trolling question. Personally I'd prefer to be where we are, having seen the minor meltdowns on here if we lose a game, being down the wrong end of the table would mean pandemonium on here and amongst the fans. However if I was a Sunderland fan being asked would i exchange the cup final for safety.... I'm not sure what my answer would be.

A team of Academy Products - the Rupert Lowe dream...

Shame they got that wrong as JWP is 19 now. Still impressive! I wonder what the average age of our team was on Saturday? -
What a delivery JWP. Woy watching on too

When he said "Some might say that I myself symbolised the mistrust of gifted players who were regarded as unreliable mavericks." I thought he was going to admit it was a mistake leaving out Le Tiss....WRONG! Haha what a ****

Brilliant as always. The weekend's round up isn't complete until L1-10 is put up.

Was saying this earlier, almost every position has 1 player that's come through the leagues with us and 1 quality player we've brought in Lambert/Osvaldo Morgan/Big Vic Fonte/Lovren then in the wide areas Lallana/J-Rod and Shaw/Clyne.

Am actually really looking forward to tonight's game. Think some of the apprehension some of the posters on here are feeling is fully justified, but let's relax and just enjoy watching Rickie walk out as England's number 9 (assuming that's his number)

I think bringing in only a couple of players in the window helps keep the team spirit. If you ring the changes and have 6/7/8 new players to settle in then you will struggle to really integrate everyone into the team, eventually causing cliques. If the rumors come true and we land a big name player before the window closes, I only hope they too will get on board with the "Southampton Way".

The new boys seem to have settled in with the rest of the squad too. Lovren in particular looks a very strong character. Also having 4 players that have come up through the ranks on the pitch really makes me feel proud. Exciting times, maybe that "New Barcelona" tag has some substance

I applied for tickets to a few television programmes last year, occasionally the company I applied through sends me an email about up and coming shows, this came through to me yesterday; "Hello there! We thought that you might be interested to know you can now apply to join us in the studio or online for a brand new interactive comedy pilot! As with all of our shows, the tickets are FREE! FAT PIPES - AN INTERACTIVE, CROWD-SOURCED COMEDY PILOT FAT PIPES is a live, one hour, interactive, online comedy pilot, being developed by BBC Comedy for BBC Three/iPlayer on 25 March 2013. And we want you to get involved. FAT PIPES will be hosted by BAFTA and Chortle Best Newcomer Nominee Iain Stirling (Russell Howard’s Good News, BBC Three's Comedy At The Fringe) and will feature a cast of some of Britain’s best and brightest young comedy talent. The pilot episode will be streamed direct from The Hospital Club Studios in Central London and will be a raucous, anarchic hour of live, interactive comedy, with set piece contributions, special guests, stunts, music and games that the audience – both in the studio and at home – can join in with online in real time via Facebook, Twitter and the wider internet. Using social media, we’ll get to know our audience ahead of the show and create an online comedy event that viewers can join in with, sending in jokes and suggestions and playing along with photo challenges and live online comedy ‘games’. You might even be invited to join us live in the studio via your webcam…" At first I thought it was a joke from someone, but no, there really is to be a comedy show called Fat Pipes...anyone from here involved with the naming of TV shows??

Would really recommend Louise or Tim from http://www.harrisongray.co.uk/ have been given some advice from them in the past and am now on a much better rate. They've also set up a mate of mine with his first mortgage

0-0 please

3-1 Lambert hat-trick and hopefully one good enough to show once and for all that he is miles ahead of Holt

This is surely the worst....

Ha guess that answers my question. Ostracise all the players on the books in the hope they will decide to leave. Only problem being, you owe these players a LOT of money, chances are, if you **** them off, they will start demanding their full amount, whether it kills the club or not.
-
A quick thought...I wonder what the rest of the squad are doing? Have they left all 8 of their senior players at home twiddling their thumbs? Not exactly ideal preparation for the coming season, even if they do offload a few players, the core of their squad will be at least a couple of weeks behind every other team in the league. Meanwhile Pompey "B" are having a jolly abroad made up of players the FL will hopefully not even allow them to sign. This is even better than the stupid American adventure last season haha

Loving the comments on the Neil Allan article, surely most of the comments are from our undercovers? Or are they finally "getting it"? Also seen a lot of comments about how the -10 is "punishing the fans". No it's not? The fans aren't getting a minus 10, it's the club. If anything, the FL has given the fans the chance to still support a club by offering p*mpey a place in the league as long as they follow the rules put down.

I'm sure someone had already made one of those a couple of hundred pages back. Anyone remember the link?
