  1. Stoke City vs Stoke Reserves - Pre season friendly?
  2. To me the improvement in football is it's own reward. It's a nice idea though. P.S. It's a testament to our upturn in fortunes that I didn't find your post remotely irritating.
  3. Most of those players were signed under Lowe, i.e. low wages. I can't see it being much of an object. Even if we still have to pay 50% of their wages for the remainder of their contracts, it's still 50% saved compared to having them here on full whack doing bugger all. That's pretty much why I want him out. In nearly a year and a half here, he's barely been fit to play half a dosen games. He is the new Powell/Pahars/Belmadi Even when he is fit, he isn't much to write home about. Too slow IMO and doesn't have any kind of trick to beat a man. I'd rate Mills higher two and I also stated in my previous post I'd like another LW.
  4. If it were up to me... Shift - Molyneux, Pulis, Forecast, Perry, Holmes and Saga. Not loans, let them go. On a free if nescessary. None of them have a future here and they're just using up space and wages. It's with regret that I'd let Saga go as he has been terrific at times, but he is too much like Connelly and I can't see him getting his form back here. Bring in - Antonio and Trottman (permanently would be brilliant, both our young and Saints could easily match what Reading and PNE can offer them in the not to distant future.) I'd also like a left winger and right back.
  5. I think we've been over this issue before. Basically I am open minded to the concept of what we label "ghosts". As in a concept for which we have no scientific explanation. I have seen no proof first hand, but there are thousands of stories, many from credible witness's. Not to mention unexplained photographic, audio and video evidence. I'm not saying it is the p*ssed off spirits of the dead per say, but it could be some unexplained energy phenomenon which isn't yet understood. Don't forget 200 years ago the concept of electricity was all make believe. As for the pilot thing, I make my choices based on science. I do not believe in ghosts, however I am open to the possibility. Whilst we're on the subject, Google Eastern Flight 401 if you want some light reading. They caught some of the evidence of that on the ****pit voice recorder.

    Powell

Even going 1-0 down to an injury time sucker punch before the break, I knew we'd still win comfortably. It's very rare that the whole of SWF is united (especially myself and Chez) on one aspect of Saints, but Darren Powell's incredible lack of footballing tallent is one such occasion. Glass legs, Toblerone feet and a 50p head. Maybe someone with a longer attention span than me could photoshop that together.
  7. If you're refering to my post, perhaps I should rephrase it slightly. If people chose not to believe in "ghosts" or an afterlife because they have seen no evidence of them, then that is fair enough. The people I think are ignorant are those who claim to 'know' they don't exist, simply because there is a lack of evidence. If you don't believe in "ghosts" then perhaps you should look at some of the video's posted by this guy. Many of them are pretty darn conclusive IMO and quite scary at times. http://www.youtube.com/user/BUTCHYKID624
  8. I like the idea of reincarnation. There is no evidence for it obviously, but it's a pretty cool idea. I occasionally think about who (or what) it would be good to be reincarnated as. Do you have to come back as someone born immediately after you die or can you chose any person at any point in history. Perhaps death is like a game of Tekken 3. It says "Game Over" and you can either play again with the same characters or chose another.
  9. Pretty much how I see it. The idea that mankind knows everything about death and the world beyond is laughable IMO. Those who say that nothing happens when you die are just as ignorant as those who believe God created the Earth in 7 days IMO. And Most Haunted is complete sh*t. I can't watch that programme or see Derek Acorah without being reminded of a South Park episode called, "The Biggest Douche in the Universe". Ghost Hunters however I find mildly interesting as they try and investigate the scientific side to the unexplained, even if they do drag up the old, "did you hear a noise over there!?" line. The worst bit of Most Haunted is when they say, "Oh my God, I heard a noise coming from over there!! It was a loud tapping noise and there is nobody in that room... except two camera men, the boom-mic opperator, the producer, the tea lady, the local tour guide who will treble his business if people think the place is haunted and a tramp asleep in the fire place."
  10. How about... Oh when the Saints, play a game of football Oh when the Saints play a game of football I want to be sat in block 34 row Y Oh when the Saints play a game of football.
  11. I think the people who vote for the twins are either on a wind up or Busted fans who need new idols with spiky hair who jump around a stage attempting to sing.
  12. Looks like I'm the only person pleased with this draw. Live in Bristol and I'm working in the morning, so it's probably the only fixture I could realistically have gotten to. Bring 'em on.
  13. At one point in the second half, their goalie did his usual hoof up the pitch and it bounced through to Davis. I swear I saw Easter (who was chasing the ball with Trottman) look over at the ref and then just fall over in a heap. The only surprise for me was that the ref didn't give it.
  14. Wouldn't like to say Lallana has found his level, but he looked like a fish up a tree for large parts of last season. I'm sure he'd be ready for CCC football next season, but it would be foolish of him to jump ship now for CCC or Prem football.
  15. FAO SMS: Na na na na na na na na na na David Connelly Connelly David Connelly We sung it at Boundary Park, please can we sing it at home. Ta Muchly
  16. I lived in Prestwick for nearly a year and I've seen enough of Clydebank, Motherwell and Paisley to think otherwise.
  17. Scottish Xmas trees have loads of presents under them. Your bike, your TV, your X-Box...
  18. Be quiet. We're trying to sleep Be quiet. We're trying to sleep Be quiet. We're trying to sleep Be quiet. We're trying to sleep. etc...
  19. Not really. I think we might have given him anorexia now though.
  20. You fat b*stard!!!!! I know we often aim that one at goalies, but I loved taking it to another level today. I think we got to him too as he started putting goal kicks out into touch in his own half. Those that stayed in were headed straight back by Jaidi. Just thought it deserved it's own thread, great entertainment.
  21. Absolutely took their LB's ass to the cleaners. Then he had it pressed, turned it inside out, tore it a new anus and handed it back on a plate.
  22. Maybe I'm overreacting, but that was probably the best Saints performance I've ever seen (Only Prem game I went to was Villa 2-3 ). Anyway, thought we were breathtaking if I'm honest. Ran the show against what is apparently a top 3 side from start to finish. Had a flat spell for about 7 minutes either side of half time, but even then they were far from on top. Schneiderlin and Antonio absolutely ran the show, the defence was rock solid and Lambert and Connelly took the p*ss up front. Excellent performance, Schneiderlin for MOTM. His crossfield ball to Bonio for the first goal was fantastic. I could so easily have voted for Antonio, Lambert, Jaidi, Hammond, Lallana or Trotters, we were THAT good.
  23. Made my mind up, definitely want Kimi in the second Macca seat, with Button and Senna at Brawn.
  24. Done
