  1. And those who would like to drive at 60mph in a 60mph zone and don't want to be late for work. Speed doesn't kill. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you. Wreckless driving, which can involve excessive speed, kills. Trying to take a corner too fast could cause a crash, but that could be doing 40mph round a 20mph bend in a 60mph zone. Anyway, this is irrelevant, we're not talking about driving too fast, we're talking about people driving too slow. Often this is because they are old and apparently have no comprehension of the concept of a speed limit.
  2. I have no doubt Saga will leave in January, if he hasn't already. It is disappointing however to see so many negative comments about him on here. He had obvious quality, however he was unable to perform in a team which wasn't making chances for him. When he had the likes of Bale, Skacel, Belmadi and Surman providing quality service he was devastating. Needs to move on for his own sake. I remember when Oakley left people said he was crap, good riddance, he'd lost it etc. Went on to get promoted and be arguably Derby's best player in their hilarious Premiership cameo. I think Saga needs a similar fresh start. Good luck to him.
  3. Continuously driving well below the speed limit is a fail point on the driving test. Yes speeding is just as bad, but slow drivers are a hazzard too.
  4. .Already on a thread in the Muppet Show.
  5. Feckin' 'ell. Just in from work and never noticed that result until I saw this thread. LOL is all I can say. When was the last time Man Utd went out in the 3rd round? Or lost at home to a lower league side? RE: Our trip to Elland Road, it wasn't that bad a result as such, but Leeds were bellow par and we offered nothing going forwards.
  6. I wouldn't rest players for this, especially seeing as it is perfectly winnable. I certainly wouldn't give up on the Cup based on a massive long shot at getting promoted. Strongest team fit please Mr Pardew.
  7. They are also mongs.
  8. Stuck behind two of them tonight, line astern on the same road at 11:30pm. They seem to outnumber people like myself who are capable of getting within 10mph of the speed limit.
  9. Which is why I'd much rather live here than in a Muslim country. In Britain there is tollerance, equality and freedom of speech. In places like Saudi Arabia and Iran there is horrendous oppression of women, minorities and homosexuals. I'd hate to live there.
  10. Play nice children.
  11. It is disgusting, but surely their complete lack of respect detracts from their cause in the eyes of the rest of the population. Certainly it does in my eyes. We've had plenty of white, Caucasian people protesting against the war in the streets of London. They are sometimes refered to as tree hugging, spineless lefties etc. But generally most of us pay little attention. As you say, it's the location which makes this so disrespectful, but I think they will come out of it with less support rather than more. I just hope no right wing skinheads turn up for a fight. Sadly I suspect that is unrealistic, but ignoring them is the way to do it.
  12. Like Jonathan Pearce, more for his days on Robot Wars than anything else. Martin Brundle has to be my favourite commentator of all time though, the bloke has everything. Fantastic knowledge and experience of his sport, clearly and understandably translated to the audience. He also has the foresigth to see what is going to happen in a race, predicting drivers who will struggle with tyre wear, fall back etc. Even predicting accidents, such as Vettel and Kubica in Oz last season. Funny, is well respected throughout the paddock and his grid walks are brilliant. Used to love Murray Walker too. He had such a fantastic energy in his voice, which made everything twice as exciting. My favourite moment was when Schumacher smashed into the back of Coulthard at Spa in '98. "Oh God!" RE: Least favourites. Motty is a senile tool and Lawro is as bland as a beige Ikea wardrobe.
  13. It's both. People are not going to support this cause just because people are protesting it. If you you saw a complete basket case walking down the street screaming, "the government is subliminal messages in porn!" would you believe that the government are indeed hidden in you private stash? Probably not. I am not afraid of 400 Muslims shouting about how bad the war is. I'm worried about 1 Muslim who thinks he is being oppressed by the government and wants to make a name for himself.
  14. Ah the anual, "I want to get beaten by the Skates in the Cup!" malarkey. If they overcome Coventry then they will have beaten a much better side than us away from home. We will, in all likelyhood lose that game. Why not wait another season and hammer AFC Portsmouth in the 1st round? Besides, if they get us, the game will be a sell out and they will get more money.
  15. It is an appaling lack of respect for the armed forces and is likely to lead to violence. There are however a couple of reasons to allow it. a) Freedom of speech. I know they are pushing this right to the extreme, but as long as they are not inciting racial hatred it isn't illegal. b) Don't hang them, let them hang themselves. If these people do go ahead with the demonstration, it will lead to wide spread condemnation from most UK citizens, including a large portion of the Muslim population. c) Would supressing this march lead to more anger within certain sections of the Muslim world and ultimately more extremism. Overall I am undecided. On the one side, I am deeply against their view point and morally object to what they're doing. On the other hand, that is their right and their is nothing technically wrong with what they're doing.
  16. Okay, it's on the Reaction thread now.
  17. Can only have 10 players in the poll. Tell me who to leave out and I'll add it to the match reaction thread.
  18. I'm slightly worried if that is your mentality.
  19. No. Please tell me why I am incorrect.
  20. Two Prem sides and 3/4 of the ground looked like that.
  21. Nothing particularly wrong with Leicester IMO. 12-13k for a match between two average CCC teams is nothing to get the pitch forks out over. I'd be more disgusted at Wigan TBH.
  22. Anyone know what time the draw is tomorrow?
  23. It'll do I guess.
