Actually it isn't: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2804093/Lambert_declares_Georgie_switch_interest.html

If Lambert were looking for a move or a contract renewal was coming up, that could well be the case. In this instance however I suspect it's just very lazy creative journalism. "Newcastle looking for a new striker... let me see... scoring charts for this season... oh look, this Lambert bloke's got a few in League 1, he'll do". Anyone can start rumours like this. The difference is that this Mirror bloke gets paid to do it. It's very easy, and quite good fun actually. Nottingham Forest apparently interested in Schneiderlin. Davies wants to add more creativity to midfield and said he was impressed with Morgan at the season ender at the City Ground last season. I've got a friend at work who goes to the same Taekwondo class as Morgan's girlfriend. She says he doesn't feel Saints suit his style of play and would like to play at a higher level. BBC reported as much on their website last night. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/Championship/Teams/NottsForest/ArticleSchneiderlinin..

It's not so much a free lunch as a mutual partnership. Markus invests money to improve the squad and makes Saints a better team. As a result more fans turn up on a Saturday and give him their hard earned cash in exchange for a ticket, a replica shirt, a pie, a pint etc. On top of that, IF we get promoted even more cash wielding fans turn up and Sky give us a great big pot of money just for being in the Premiership. Net result, we get good football, Liebherr gets money.

Can't see why Newcastle would want Lambert. They look likely to be going up and would surely be looking at players who CDAJFT in the Prem. Lambert I don't think is that good.

Would love Derby to go down, can't really see it though. Fair play to Savage.

I'm sure there are players out there who can do Wotton's job a LOT better than he can. Sending him on to kick seven shades of sh*te out of anything that moves is all well and good if you're 1-0 up against Man Utd in a cup tie, but against lesser teams I'd hope for something a little less primative.

Not sure why everyone suddenly wants rid of Thomas, I've always thought he was pretty good at CB. Certainly done nothing this season to warrant a one way train ticket. Most of the rest I agree on. Saga, Wotton, Gillett, Pulis, Molyneux, Forecast and Holmes can all leave.

No surprising revelations on his wiki page yet. It's been a pretty exciting week, what with Ward setting up a jam factory with Rudi Skacel and Fonte starting a ghost hunting society with Carsten Janker and Derek Acorah.

My best K: D in a match was 20:21 in a domination game in Terminal a few days ago. I'm getting a bit better though. I've even started killing with the knife. Had a pretty funny kill earlier. Threw a sticky grenade at someone in a team deathmatch and the bloke unwittingly runs into a small room with two of his team mates. Triple kill.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I don't doubt Saints, I doubt the ability of at least 7 good teams above us to really f**k up in the last 20 matches. Sorry.

Yay! Headquaters

Funny you should say that. She went on some WAGs edition of the Weakest Link a while back and was by far the most intelligent. I know that's like a bit like winning the 'Miss Portsmouth' beauty paegent, but as page three girls go she is tollerable.

Should be around in 20 mins, after dinner if anyone's about.

Just given me a thought... I would LOVE it if we could buy a player for say £2m or £3m and loan him to Pompey. I know it's financially ridiculous, wont happen, we need to spend the money on our own squad etc. etc. but can you imagine the embarassment for the Skates.

She's a big fan of two up front apparently.

Since when did you need a laptop to go to school? I got my first laptop for my 18th birthday, barely 2 months before I left school. We didn't even have broadband in my house at all until I was 16. This is just a bullsh*t scheme to try and buy votes. There is no way the laptops are going to be used for their intended purposes. When I was in school/college, and this was only 4 or 5 years ago, my grades were sent home to my parents in an envelope on a piece of A4 paper, along with my attendance record. As for using them for school work... well, my school had text books and an I.T. room or two. I wouldn't have called it a particularly posh school, but perhaps I have been misinformed. As people have also said, what is particularly wrong with libraries? Overall it's a terrible waste of money IMO. Especially when there are people fighting in the Middle East with badly outdated and insufficient equipment.

I'm not really worried about our level of spending, for several reasons: 1. We have Markus. Obviously he isn't going to be here forever, but for now he is. If and when he leaves, THEN we'd have to worry about our spending. 2. We are spending pretty much within our means. Yes we have spent nearly £3m this season, but have nearly four times the gate receipts of a team like Oldham or Wycombe. That adds up to nearly £6m in extra gates. 3. We are investing in assests, not so much in massive wages like Pompey, Man City or to a lesser extent Notts Co. If the worst comes to the worst, we can sell the players we've bought, plus a few more. Lambert and Fonte wont have decreased in value since we bought them, unless Fonte turns out to be a complete dud, which I doubt. 4. We're trying to get back into the Prem which, IMO, is where we belong. That probably sounds arrogant, but when you look at some of the tin-pot clubs in the Prem, you do think clubs like Leeds, Newcastle, Saints and Norwich belong there instead. I don't think we would end up making a massive loss just staying in the division, unlike Pompey and a couple of other clubs.

Gotta love the sadistic minds of that film crew. "Hey, lets set up camera next to this patch of black ice and wait for someone to end up on their arse".

A couple of years ago I remember Luis Boa Morte appeared on the OS. Guessing it's just a mistake.

When's the house warming?
-
10 degrees in Alicante at the moment, so I don't think they're be spending too much time sunbathing.

Hot, but it would appear ITV are scraping the bottom of the celebrity barrel once again.
