So that's £0 then.

I remember umming and ahing about this before the FA Cup final. Would it have been better to get the Blades and have a better chance of winning, but not get the UEFA Cup if we lost. Or Arsenal and probably lose, but guarantee a UEFA Cup spot. Although, in this case there is nothing other than the trophy up for grabs. I'd say Carlisle because they should be easier to beat, in theory. It's hardly like we'd've had an easy ride to the final having beaten Charlton, Norwich and (hypothetically) The Dons.

Powell on loan to a club struggling at the bottom of the Conference? Don't be a f**king retard. Forest Green can do much better than that.

So was Kimi. I guess it's about what these guys are willing to take in terms of wages and a competitive car. I struggle to believe NH hasn't had offers, it appears he has just done a Kimi and put himself above the market. Putting them in order just because I'm bored: Hamilton Alonso Button Vettel Massa Schumi (right now, not back in the day) Kubica Barrichello Rosberg Webber Trulli Glock Kovalainen Fisichella Sutil Kobayashi Liuzzi Buemi Hulkenberg Senna Di Grassi Alger.. Algua... Algae... The other Torro Rosso guy De La Rosa. I put the last two behind the rookies because they are definitely crap, whereas any of the new guys could be pretty good. Kimi would have been between Vettel and Massa, Heidfeld between Trulli and Glock.

I'm just praying Darren Powell is fit.

I'd expect him to end up at Renault, but I wont lose all that much sleep if he isn't on the grid next season. Not as good as Kubica IMO.

There seems to be some kind of myth about intelligence being a requirement to be a mod. I only agreed to this career because I was very drunk, and Ponty was blackmailed into it because Baj has incriminating pictures involving a jar of marmalade, two Milanese Salami and a golden retriever.

BA can not be successfully turned into Ryanair. They are completely different airlines and practically every aspect of their opperation is different. They need to cut costs and they are implementing a few low cost philosophies, but they will never be a truly low cost carrier.

Underwhelmed, he is carp. Fisi was surely the better option.

Saeijs, Vignal and Skacel all scored an absolute belter of a free kick, but for some reason never used to take them regularly and only scored once each. Remember Watford away last season, Saeijs scored that fantastic effort, then we got another free kick in the same spot and Surman put it in the car park. Odd. Higgy took a couple in our first season in the CCC. Anders knocked the Argies out of the World Cup from 30 yards but I don't remember him ever taking one for Saints. Not sure if Beatts ever got five in a season, but he did score one which got Hoddle sacked, which has to be worth at least 4 goals on it's own.

Fair Enough. Much up there appart from Renault and a few gliders?

'They' being the local Yoof? Still in Woodstock? I remember a few years ago, we both lived in the same village in OXON but never actually met. Agree it is a nice place though.

My Grandparents live there. They are below the average age of a Hedge End resident.

I'd like to retract this statement. I was under the impression from the media that the union was protesting against a planned pay freeze for 2010. FF assures me this is not the case and that the pay freeze has been accepted. However I still think BA cabin crew get a better deal than most cabin crew in Britain, or even the world. In Ryanair pilot and cabin crew unions are not recognised and as such a strike would just get you sacked. This does not upset most employees however, who are by and large, just happy to have a job. FF, I though the price fixing thing with Virgin happened about 5 years ago and was to the tune of about £350m. I could understand that having a big impact then, but can't see how it would account for a £300m loss last year and projected £600m loss this year.
-
I believe one of the terms they are protesting against is a planned pay freeze, as well as reducing cabin crew on long haul flights. http://www.sharecast.com/cgi-bin/sharecast/story.cgi?story_id=3229737 "The airline, which lost over £400m in the year to 31 March 2009, wants a pay freeze in 2010 and 3,000 staff to switch to part-time working. Onboard crewing levels have also been cut from 15 to 14 on long-haul flights from Heathrow"
-
Obviously they don't deserve it, but this doesn't validate Unite striking.
-
BA, "We're making massive losses. We need to cut cost and may even have to lay off staff. Cabin crew "We want more money" It's brilliant.

Me talking about things I have actually witnessed has really got your goat hasn't it. I'll tell you what Rory, just for you: - Steve Williams was overrated, his passing is good, but he missed too many open goals. - We shouldn't have won the Cup in '76, Man Utd had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside 3 minutes before Channon headed in the winner in the 56th minute. - We got relegated in 1968 because Ron Davies attempted a stupid overhead kick on the halfway line at Preston and gave the ball away. - Jimmy Case is probably the worst goalie ever to play for Saints. Not a patch on Steve Moran. - What's going on with the Antelope Ground FFS! The Queen Victoria end is just full of pikeys backing the back boards and nobody in the Fratton End never sings. P.S. Bungle, I am going to vote Conservative at the next election. I don't actually like them or their (lack of) policies, I just want to nullify your vote. -

Well in that case you'd be doubling nothing for the push on the ref. -

No, i saw exactly the same match you did. He ran over to the lino and shouted at him. That's a booking during the match and seeing as he'd already been sent off, probably worth a 1 match ban. Shoving the ref. It's not like Prutts went for him with the deliberate intention of attacking him. He stood in his way whilst Prutton was running towards the lino and he tried to push him out the way. As I said, it it's been a player it wouldn't even have been a booking. Even if you were going to go OTT and call it violent conduct, that's still only another 3 match ban. -

10 matches was ridiculous. He got sent off initially for 2 yellow cards, so that's a 1 match ban. As I understand it shouting abuse at officials is also a booking. Pushing the ref (please don't call it a physical attack, that's just absurd) I'm not sure what the punishment is. Normally if players shove each other it's not even a booking. So we've got: 2 yellows - 1 match ban Shouting at the lino - worth another yellow, maybe a 1 match ban pushing the ref - Lets just suppose it was violent conduct, red card 3 match ban. There really was no case for anything more than a 5 match ban, max. -

I can't remember us ever having a player like that, let alone in the 3rd division. Even in the Prem our midfielders rarely got more than 4 goals a season. Anders and Oakley didn't tackle, Telfer couldn't pass, CMFG rarely scored, Fernandes made crop circles etc. -
Had a small F4A going on, only 4 people though, didn't really catch on.
