  1. Kind of hard to decide at the moment as he has been faily inconsistent. Brilliant at times, but hopeless at others. Overall, if I had to chose now I'd probably say yes though. Personally I'd say he's worth half that. He hasn't exactly been a stand out player in League 1.
  2. I've been trying the TAR-21 with the red dot sight instead of the grenade launcher. So far, mixed reviews. Don't think I can refuse an offer like that.
  3. Look the same to me.
  4. I would say we would be narrow because we only have 2 wide players instead of four. There is less support down the flanks, even if there are more options to pass inside to. I'm no football manager, but if I had to defend against that I'd have both my wide men marking their wing-backs out the game, when defending, and one CM marking Saints nearest CM. That would leave a hopeful crossfield pass as the only real option. My interpretation anyway.
  5. Looks too narrow IMO and quite easy to defend against. Otsemobor is apparently not great at delivering and James just doesn't have the pace get forward with any penetration. Harding is a good LB, but I don't think he'd have all that much luck on his own. Stick with 4-4-2
  6. I would say LM. That should free up Lallana to play up front. I'd still like another striker, but the LM spot would be my priority.
  7. See General Sports.
  8. Most of the modern Tilke tracks do have short cuts, because there is nothing but tarmac and asphalt for about 10ft eitherside of the curves. I think a better idea would be having the track split in two and having seperate routes around some chicanes. It would only be practical at certain places. An example would be the old Bus Stop at Spa. If you can imagine basically a mirror down the centre of the track, with two bus stops. The original which goes left, then right back onto the start line, then a reflection which goes right then left, basically where the pit entry used to be.
  9. Yeah, I only put that in so you'd have something to moan about. If he is definitely out with that eye injury I'd pick Perry instead.
  10. My guess would be: Davis Otsemobor - Fonte - Jaidi - Harding Waigo - Morgan - James - Hammond - Lallana Lambert I personally would go with: Bart Otsemobor - Fonte - Jaidi - Harding James - Morgan - Hammond - Waigo Lallana Lambert
  11. TBF Bungle, you do seem to have a sad obsession with myself and a handful of other posters on this site. Now run along and worship sports personality of the year Phil Taylor. Typical conversation with Bungle: "In my opinion 2 + 2 = 3.99" Bungle, "oh what a stupid, boring fool you are. Everyone knows 2 + 2 = 5, you're a moron"
  12. Oh the irony.
  13. Jon Otsemobor do do do Doesn't involve a cap in the ass, but probably easier to sing.
  14. I do laugh when I remember summer and people saying we only needed to sign 4 or 5 players. That was before we'd signed Harding, Lambert, Waigo, Antonio, Mellis, Trotman, Jaidi, Connolly, Hammond, Fonte, Seaborne and Otsemobor. We still need 3 or 4 more to have any real depth.
  15. Hardly an exciting signing, but we did really need a RB and you can't go wrong on a six month contract. Hopefully he just needs a fresh start, much the same as Crouch, Phillips or even Harding when they came here.
  16. I think it's more a case of being just plain embarassing for Pompey. Having your local rivals from two Leagues below come and help you clear the pitch. Imagine the shame if it was the other way around.
  17. 'Not much' as opposed to 'nothing'. A lot cheaper than spending £1m on someone on a 3.5 year deal on £8k a week.
  18. Would be interesting and would certainly give us something else up front. Pretty sure it was Mifsud who ran us ragged at the Ricoh in the 07/08 season, but that's only going from listening online. Free transfer on a sixth month loan, not much to lose.
  19. I'll be around in 10. Eating.
  20. I'm absolutely knackered, but I'll give it a go. Hard core over 'ere.
  21. It's doable if we can produce Leeds or Norwich form for the remainder of the season. Trouble is we've only beaten 3 sides in the top half so far this season and none of them are in the top 6. I've been to games against Leeds, Norwich and Colchester and we aren't as good as them yet. Fonte will have improved us, as will potential other signings. Whether they are worth an extra 10 or 12 points combined I'm not convinced.
  22. Southend, Hartlepool, Walsall, Brentford, B. Rovers, Swindon, MK Dons, Millwall. Actually that's 8, sorry. In anticipation of your next response, I know four of those teams are within 5 points and I fully expect us to finish above them. However the other four will prove more dificult and we need to get ahead of ALL of them to reach the playoffs. 6th place last season was Scunny with 76 points. As it happens Swindon in 6th are exactly halfway there after 24 games with 38. For Saints to get 76 points would require another 48 points. That means winning 16 out of 24 games. It's a big ask. We've only managed 38 in the first half of the season and I don't think Fonte is worth another 10 points.
  23. Ah well, I'm sure 2 hours of football will do wonders for their next league game, the £67,000 prize money will save them from admin and they will recapture the FA Cup.
