  1. Bart New Bloke - Jaidi - Thomas - Harding Waigo - Hammond - Morgan - New Bloke Lambert - Lallana Bench: Davis, Perry, New DF, James, New Wide man, Connolly, New ST
  2. I'd pretty much go along with that. He can fill in accross the midfield and at RB in an emergency, but he wouldn't be anywhere near my starting 11 if we had more depth in the squad. His lack of pace and his concrete boots approach to jumping hold him back IMO. His crossing also frustrates me. He never takes a player on, but as soon as he crosses the halfway line he just lofts it into the box.
  3. Arizona

    Penalty!

  4. Sorry Griffito, but that's as blatant a penalty as you will see all season. The goalie just ran out and booted him in the leg. The fact that the 'keeper does a pirouette and ends up on his arse would imply he gave him a fair whack, and he clearly got nowhere near the ball.
  5. Go on...
  6. So by your logic, we need to get rid of Lallana, Bart, Morgan and Davis as soon as possible.
  7. I'd have kept DMG and Surman given choice. Also Skacel if he'd wanted to be here. A forward six of: Lambert - DMG Skacel - Hammond - Surman - Lallana With Waigo and/or Connolly coming off the bench, circumnstances depending.
  8. The lino gave the penalty, watch the vid.

    Penalty!

    Few Pictures:
  10. If we have to rest Lambert then so be it, but I find this 'f**k the FA Cup' attitude a little disappointing. Especially when there is apparently very little at stake in this years League campaign. I can't see us getting relegated and the playoffs are one heck of a long shot.

    Penalty!

  12. BTW, if you thought Saints ticket office was bad, you should see the queue for collections at Colchester. When I got there 20 mins before K.O. there was a queue going halfway accross the carpark, easily the length of the Northam stand. Also, I can't help but think if the fog had come half an hour earlier, the game might have been called off.
  13. No, we have a great chance to progress to the next stage. We might not have a chance of winning the FA Cup, but if we can get through a couple of rounds and get a trip to a big Prem team; A it will be fun, and B we'll get a fair bit of cash.
  14. We have only beaten 3 of the teams in the top half. That is why I don't think we will go up.
  15. On the way home. We were terrible first half playing 4-5-1 looked a lot livelier second half playing 4-4-2. Colchester were robust and probably deserved the win in a pretty crap match. Second half we had chances but didn't take them. Their second was a bit of a sucker punch and against the run of play. Had a bit of amusement with the fog, singing "where are ya?!" etc. Harding was my MOTM. Thomas was good, the centre backs were decent, but at fault for both goals. Didn't think much of any of the midfielders TBH. Lambert was isolated first half, but looked better with Connolly supporting. Connolly started brightly buy faded a bit. Waigo better than Antonio.
  16. Sat in the crowd, this is terrible. No ideas going forward, just the occasional hoof at Lambert. Defence looks bit lacklusture, bit is holding out alright. Nothing Bart could do about the goal. Harding best player. Connolly and Waigo on for James and Antonio please.

  19. Yeah, tonights episode was really good IMO. Hammonds car 'accidentally' rolling down the dune at the end was a bit of an insult to my intelligence, but otherwise the show was good.
  20. I'm not sure all that many people are 'missing'. I think it's just that there are a lot of people who go less frequently.
  21. Who else is joining me in Essex tomorrow then? I'd go with this team: Bart James Trotman Jaidi Harding Waigo Hammond Morgan Lallana Lambert Connolly
  22. He was wreckless at times, but I think he had to be with the team he had around him. A lot of last ditch tackles were needed, which invariably lead to penalties. I liked him. He was committed and could win the ball in almost any situation. Took a mean set piece too.
  23. Not sure if anyone has mentioned on this thread, but can we bring Jan Paul Saeijs back please.
  24. At the risk of looking like a simpleton, aren't their loans until at least the end of December, meaning they can still play tomorrow against the Us? I'd like to keep Trotman. He may not be a world beater now, but he has shown great form in patches and just needs concistency. He certainly shows more potential and composure than certain other centre halves of a similar age (Davenport and Lancashire).
