He is in great form, but we want him to be in great form for the season, not just until he's overworked and then picks up an injury. I'd be very surprised if he starts on Tuesday and Saturday, although I see everybody's reasoning for keeping him in the team.

Because he's 34, injury prone and hasn't played 3 games in a week in a long time (I am assuming he'll start on Saturday against Millwall). Guly hasn't had much of a chance having been played out of position on the right and I am sure he would relish the opportunity to step up and cement a place up front with Rickie. Connolly is a big threat up front, but we can't take chances with injuries - we need as many fit players as we can in order to put together a good run. Chuck him on for the last 30 minutes if things are looking a little dodgy, by all means. Ipswich have got some bruisers in their team and DC is only little you know!

Would be on huge wages and tbh I think Lambert is better now anyway. He was a great player for us back in the day, but not any longer. Sorry Beatts!
