  1. We will finish between 7th-12th. Too many big teams in this division pushing for promotion who can outmuscle us with the players that they can attract.
  2. Ross Wallace as well. They've got a good side, just a bit short of strength in depth.
  3. Good side that Burnley would have if they signed Boyd: --------------Grant------------- Duff--------Cort---Edgar-----Fox Elliott---McCann---Treacy---Boyd -------Rodriguez---Paterson----- With a few signings to flesh their side out a bit, they'll be pushing for play-offs. Similar in quality to our team I think.
  4. This is one of the struggles we face - but in the end you learn to love me for who I am. I think a better meeting would be that we have to enter a roller-skating dancing competition at the local discotheque and both of our partners accidentally skate into each other while we're both getting drinks (seperately for now) and hurt their ankles, and we have to team up. We wipe the floor with those other schmucks! I think we'll chuck a medley from Saturday Night Fever into that scene.
  5. I've been writing a first draft for a West End musical about me and you. The struggles we face together, the mountains we have to climb and the toe-tapping tunes we drop in along the way. We get together at the end, don't worry. In reality i've got a new job, long hours and didn't have teh internetz at my new digs so not been on here for a few weeks. Miss me much?
  6. Most people that buy Apple products are c*nts that just like showing them off to people. Having said that, the iPod is a fantastic thing - it revolutionised the music industry. Apple isn't richer than the US, but they do have a larger operating balance. The article says that they're going to look to invest in smaller businesses that can improve their products and expand their business base. I'm just dreading the day when Apple becomes Umbrella Corp and we get iZombies roaming the streets
  7. European groups draw in full: GROUP A Croatia Serbia Belgium SCOTLAND FYR Macedonia WALES GROUP B Italy Denmark Czech Republic Bulgaria Armenia Malta GROUP C Germany Sweden REP IRELAND Austria Kazakhstan Faroe Islands GROUP D Holland Turkey Hungary Romania Estonia Andorra GROUP E Norway Slovenia Switzerland Albania Cyprus Iceland GROUP F Portugal Russia Israel NORTHERN IRELAND Azerbaijan Luxembourg GROUP G Greece Slovakia Bosnia-Herzegovina Lithuania Latvia Liechtenstein GROUP H ENGLAND Montenegro Ukraine Poland Moldova San Marino GROUP I Spain France Belarus Georgia Finland I can see England winning their group, although that's not to say that they'll do it easily. Poland, Montenegro and Ukraine are all tough teams to beat. Moldova and San Marino will be walkovers. As a Scotland fan, I cannot see us qualifying from that group. Croatia, Serbia and Belgium are twice as good as us, and Wales and Macedonia are about our level. Ought to be interesting to watch what happens - we nearly qualified for the Euros in 2008 ahead of either of the 2006 World Cup finalists...
  8. Doubt he'll be moving - only a few weeks ago he was saying he wants to finish his career here. I thought it was odd that Lambert wasn't in the away kit launch marketing as well though...
  9. I quite like it - an away kit doesn't need to be too elaborate. We'll only wear it a few times anyway.
  10. Absinthe, or anything with a liquorice/aniseed flavour. Any more than 1 measure of white/dark rum in a drink. Dr Pepper I can no longer drink neat Vodka due to downing a pint of it in Fresher's week in 9 seconds flat (didn't spew for another 4 hours - but it was a magical moment when I did). My hangover was made even worse by the fact that I woke up the next day on the bathroom floor covered in my own vomit and read on the BBC website that a guy in Sheffield died after doing the same thing...
  11. Adkins said he was going to experiment in pre-season. I should imagine those would have been some of his experiments.
  12. Relax chaps, the Pimpley fans are just enjoying the fact that they outsold us for once (in a friendly against one of the world's biggest teams with a fanbase in P*rtsmouth probably about the same size as that of P*mpey FC). We can compare average attendances for both clubs and see the difference. 2009/10 Saints (L1) - 20,982 P*mpey (Prem) - 18,302 Even last year when P*mpey were in dire straits and desperately needed the support of the Bestest Fans In Teh World TM, we still beat them by a considerable distance despite being in a lower division. 2010/11 Saints (L1) - 22,160 P*mpey (NPC) - 15,707 Given the rate that our attendances are growing, I expect we'll see an average attendance at SMS of around 24-25k this season. Not so sure about what will happen at Nottarf, although i'm predicting we'll beat them by about 10k. Oh, and I didn't go to the memorial cup because I was working on Saturday, a problem which i'm sure many in P*rtsmouth don't have to worry about...
  13. Draught cider would be nice please. Thanks.
  14. Manny Panther - Footballer who played in the Scottish Prem and Div One for a few years before signing for a Conference team down here.
  15. Kelvin is a fantastic keeper, as is Bart. We're very lucky to have them both. At the moment I would stick with Kelvin, because he's more experienced at NPC level than Bart and is a very good influence on the players.
  16. He was excellent at the tail-end of last season, but I wouldn't want to over-use him because of his injury problems. His goal at the Memorial Cup was cracking though, saw it on Saints Player.
  17. Maybe she was about to reveal some information about Rupert Murdoch?
  18. Mourinho has said that the best sized squad is 23 first-team players. 3 GKs 2 RBs 2 LBs 4 CBs 4 CMs 2 RMs 2 LMs 4 STs Going on our current squad, that gives us: GK - Davis, Bialkowski, Forecast RB - Richardson, Butterfield LB - Harding, Dickson CB - Fonte, Jaidi, Martin, Seaborne CM - Schneiderlin, Cork, Hammond, Chaplow RM - Chamberlain, De Ridder LM - Lallana, Holmes ST - Lambert, Barnard, Guly, Connolly I expect we'll see Mills and Puncheon leave within the week, and the likes of Forte, Doble, Stephens and Ward-Prowse will be on the fringes of the squad.
  19. Would've gone, but unfortunately I had to work (in P*mpey today, no less!). It's a good concept though, and if it happens again next year then i'll certainly be there.

    Oslo blast

Awful awful tragedy, but why Norway? It makes no sense to me - aside from the assailants being Norweigan of course. Got family friends in Oslo, hope they're ok.
  21. Janis Joplin was easily one of the best vocalists ever to have lived - and probably that will ever live. Her range was absolutely incredible.
  22. Obviously her lifestyle wasn't sustainable, but plenty of people with wilder lifestyles that have lived to longer than 27. Jagger & Richards are f*cking ancient, and they've got over 6 decades of heavy drug abuse behind them each.
  23. F*cking hell, can't believe that. Huge talent, huge character, huge loss. Great memories of seeing her at Glasto 09 decking some bloke in the crowd for pinching her bum! RIP
  24. If we're looking for a quality striker, James McFadden is on a free. Played at Championship level before for a few teams and very experienced at Prem level. Would be a fantastic signing and sign of intent.
  25. Btw, I am not ITK, those images are copied from the link that alehouseboys posted above.
