  1. Andre Bikey wants out of Burnley - would be an excellent signing for us at CB. Did very well for Reading and Burnley in the Prem.
  2. Stewart Lee and baked potatoes.
  3. Bit tetchy... Most other clubs have launched their kits already, or will in the next few weeks. We've got almost another 5 weeks until our launch. Just sayin'...
  4. We've got 35 days until the kit is launched then... can't help but feel that they're leaving it a wee bit late but never mind!
  5. Or you raise the taxes on the private sector, encourage more businesses to set up headquarters in this country... or perhaps just take money out of other areas of the budget in order to keep people in a job with which the government gets tax money? I think you're probably right, otherwise I would be studying Neurosciences rather than Anthropology...
  6. He's definitely better placed, but whether he is stupid or not is up for debate
  7. If you had articulated that in your post then I probably wouldn't have called you a c*nt. Probably. Of course we have things to worry about, the deficit is out of hand and should be tackled appropriately (by growing the economy to suit and then introducing some cuts, as the US have done). However, would you care to show me a first-world country that is debt and deficit free? The world economy is a perennial circle of debt, cuts, borrowing, debt, cuts, borrowing etc. That's just how it works. I would be absolutely amazed if we managed to reduce our deficit to £0.00, because I just don't really think it's possible for a nation of our size. We in this country are used to a quality of life that requires massive amounts of spending by the government, but we have a limited income without the option of borrowing which doesn't stretch that far. Right-wingers (and a fair few lefties as well) moan about having this deficit but also moan that the streets look a mess, there's uneducated kids in the dole queue and MY FERKING WHEELIE BIN HASN'T BEEN COLLECTED IN WEEKS! This stuff requires spending, and it highlights the double-standards we have in this society. The future is uncertain, but for now we're fine - despite what Mr Osbourne might tell you at one of his Bullingdon Club dinners.
  8. F*ck off Dune. Can you go and be a pointless c*nt at the pub instead of on this forum please? Thx. .....and that was my 5000th post.
  9. That was just bullsh!t electioneering by the Tories so they had an excuse to cut the public sector down to the size it was when Mama Thatcher was in charge. We're still by far one of the richest countries in the world and have a massive economy considering the size of our labour force and country. We have the billions to spend on stuff like defence but obviously not enough to keep a few hundred thousand public sector workers employed...
  10. Their chairman paid every penny. Not the club's debt, unlike ours which was mortgaged (I think).
  11. Jay-Z - Big Pimpin' Because i'm G.
  12. If that wasn't so horribly photoshopped then it would be okay. Take the number off the front, make the sponsor logo slightly smaller and change the colour to a darker shade of red and it's fine. Fairly sure we'll revert back to our normal stripe style though.
  13. -------------------Niemi--------------------- Dodd------Svensson------Fonte--------Bridge -------------Oakley------Marsden------------ Walcott-------------------------------Lallana -------------Pahars------Beattie------------- Subs GK - Davis DF - Lundekvam DF - Benali MF - Schneiderlin MF - Bale MF - Chamberlain ST - Lambert Manager: Gordon Strachan
  14. A good sign of basic human decency from Cameron & Co. Nice to see some moral obligations being put ahead of financial ones for a change. We spend £bn's on defence every year when there are so many other uses that money could be put to. Eradicating Polio from the face of the earth is a good start. I just hope that we can keep this up in the future and it won't be a get-out clause for future investment.
  15. Excellent documentary about a subject very close to my heart. My gran was diagnosed with dementia several years ago and has had a few scares recently with her health, being hospitalised a few times in the last year or so. She lives on her own, having been widowed almost 30 years ago. Recently she's started asking questions about death, asking whether there is enough room in her father's grave for her. I'm not sure whether she would want to take this particular route of self-termination, but I think it's right to have the option. Who are we to say who lives and dies? If I had as serious an affliction as the people in the documentary did, I would not want to see my condition through to the end.
  16. McLaren is a good manager, I rate him much more highly than Billy Davies - that's for sure. Notts have a strong team regardless of how they go about their transfers in the close season, and they will definitely be up there.
  17. Why is that worthy of an article on the Exeter website? They must be having an even more boring summer than we are...
  18. O'Neill to Forest with Bryan Robson as his assistant. You heard it here first. McLaren is a good manager though, people forget what he achieved with Middlesborough before taking the England job, he turned them from relegation-fodder into a very strong team on the fringe of the top 6.
  19. He's the new Rob Hulse FFS.
  20. I have it on good authority that Dune's dog's full name is Jake N*gger Dune.
  21. I got infracted for saying that Cuba Gooding Jr. was my favourite cricket commentator on The Lounge once - that shook me up so much that i've been a good boy ever since.
  22. Right on man. Right on.
  23. Looks like they might be the next club to go pop... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13738222.stm
  24. I'm struggling to think of a footballing Czech pop-star.
  25. The gutter press are more prone to making stuff up, as shown by Piers Morgan and the Abu-Ghraib debacle. I can't remember any recent fabrications by the Guardian or Independent, whereas the likes of the Mail, Express, Mirror, Sun, Star, NOTW etc make stuff up continuously and have been proven to do so on multiple occasions.
