  1. Just back, ferking amazing weekend. Left early to beat traffic and my lift home has work at 2pm tomorrow, otherwise I would've been watching The Streets right now. Best: Crystal Fighters, TV on the Radio, Grouplove, The Chemical Brothers, Dry The River Worst: Bombay Bicycle Club, Tinie Tempah, Paul Simon Weather was so weird, p!ssing with rain on Wednesday, slighty drier on Thursday, p!ssing with rain again on Friday, half and half on Saturday and then absolutely baking today! Don't know what i'm going to do without a Glastonbury 2012 to look forward to though
  2. It won't be us, another club will be offering higher wages and a quicker way back up to the Prem.
  3. Wouldn't say that - Darren Fletcher is Man Utd's best CM, Craig Gordon is probably the best keeper outside the Top 6 in the Prem, Steven Fletcher is a good solid striker and then there's youngsters like John Fleck, Danny Wilson and David Goodwillie who are about the same standard as most of the players in the England U21's & U19's. English clubs tend to have much better quality youth academies, which is a bit of a shame really.
  4. Dry The River Excellent. Like Elbow mixed with Fleet Foxes, Mumford & Sons and The Maccabees. Highly recommended.
  5. Darren Fletcher would be excellent in place of Ramsey in that team, put Kieron Gibbs in at LB instead of Ashley Cole. I'd play Theo at RM as well. Hart Richards Jones Ferdinand Gibbs Walcott Fletcher Wilshere Bale Rooney Carroll
  6. The passenger killed himself by getting into the car with a drunk driver tbh, that's my view on it. Lucky that nobody else was hurt though.
  7. F*cking hell, in today's transfer money that's about £10m... what a rip-off!
  8. I thought Delap cost £7m?
  9. Looks like i'll be heading down to the site for gate opening on Wednesday morning (it's 8am, right?). Very excited! Only problem with going early is that I now have to put up about 6 tents for various friends. So if anyone walks past me struggling, please help...
  10. Holy f*cking sh*t. Every time I watch Jackass I think that one day there's going to be some kind of stupid accident where one of them gets horrifically killed...
  11. Oh b*llocks. I would rather muddy than absolutely baking though.
  12. There's a naughty word hidden in there. Love TM's NWman stuff though, will have to go.
  13. F*cking hell, it's only a fiver. That's what - 2 pints in a cheap bar? Despite the flaws, it's still a pretty good forum.
  14. Like so? ---------------------LAMBERT------------------ -----------LALLANA------------GULY------------ ----HAMMOND-------MORGAN------CHAMBERLAIN HARDING-----FONTE----------JAIDI-----BUTTERS ---------------------DAVIS---------------------
  15. Not quite in the same ball-park, but I see your point.
  16. 10 years of protesting, what a great achievement. Whatever your views on the guy, you have to admire that commitment. RIP
  17. Couldn't have put it better myself, but at least you get to hear some good tunes.
  18. I made it out of all of my liberal elite thoughts, I strung them together with the elastic band of hope. In reality though, those are just all of the wristbands I have from festivals. That's how cool I am.
  19. Seeing him play sax with the E Street Band at Glastonbury a few years ago was a true honour, a great musician. RIP
  20. BBC2 just screened Julien Temple's excellent documentary 'Glastonbury' - i've really got the feeling now! Even seeing the site on the TV just made me feel like I was there...cannot wait! Only 5 days until departure! Exclamation mark!
  21. I miss the days when Dune would start threads about me
  22. My point here is that our fans are supposedly in the same policing category as Leeds and Millwall fans (Category 1 I think), and Notts and Brum fans have reputations for trouble as well. Surely to have these 4 games so close together is causing more trouble than necessary?
  23. How much do these fanzines sell for? I might be interested in being a seller.
  24. The Hampshire Constabulary might have a lot of work on their hands, considering our first 2 home games of the season are Leeds (Aug 6th) and Millwall (Aug 20th), and then we have Notts Forest and Brum as our next 2 home games! Mass punch-ups at 4 consecutive home games perhaps?
  25. Also some good possible signings from that released list: James McFadden - Can play on the wings or up front. Massively experienced, still a great player at Prem level. Would be a hell of a coup but not unrealistic. Only possible downside would be wages. James O'Shea - Great young prospect, surprised Brum let him go. Right winger, he's been a regular in the ROI youth teams for about 7 or 8 years. Would be good cover on the wings, could even push for First XI. Joey O'Brien - Very steady centre midfielder. Quite similar to Chaplow in his play, but more polished (and frankly, better). Leeds are heavily interested but I reckon we'd have a good chance of securing him. Jan Sebek - Good young goalkeeper. He's ferking massive, seen him play in a pre-season friendly with a Chelsea XI and he doesn't take any sh!t. Far better 3rd choice keeper than Forecast. John Pantsil - Would immediately solve our RB problem. Would be on big wages, but excellent going forward and very solid defensively. Experienced at Prem level too. Nikola Saric - Quick young striker. Can also play in an attacking midfield position. Would be good back-up considering we have very little aside from Lambert, Barnard, Guly and Connolly. Shaleum Logan - Big strong RB. A bit raw, but there's potential there for him to be very good. Probably better than either of our current RBs anyway. Holmar Eyjolfsson - Can play in defence or midfield. Very versatile, steady and consistent. Young too, and has the potential to progress a lot. Already flirting with the fringe of the Icelandic national team.
