  1. Going to see The Hangover 2 this evening. I don't make it a habit of going to see films in the cinema (rip-off) and thought that the first Hangover film was incredibly over-hyped, but looking forward to this nonetheless. Anyone else going tonight? I'll report back with my view...
  2. One of my favourite comedians Doug Stanhope (the guy in my avatar) used to present this for a bit, and coined the phrase "Show me where the babies feed".
  3. People are f*cking morons. Every channel is clamouring to jump in on this 'regional reality' bandwagon that was kicked off by MTV. People will always watch this sh!t because people will always not know any better. It kills brain cells.
  4. But....I thought we had no money?
  5. Surely it would've just ruptured his internal organs...? Lucky barsteward.
  6. Leigh Griffiths of Wolves is going out on loan to a Championship team for the season - could that be us? He's very Connolly-esque in that his movement is very good and he's a good finisher. Pacy too. Mentioned him a few times when he was at Dundee, Wolves managed to sign him in January for a measly £250k.
  7. Is this like Spot The Ball but with a dog? I think he's balancing on top of the telephone wire.
  8. Who are we all looking forward to seeing most then? For me it has to be The Low Anthem, Guillemots, TV on the Radio, Crystal Fighters and Dan Mangan. So many of my favourite acts playing at Glasto this year!
  9. I have to say i'm mildly obsessed with this band now - absolutely magical stuff.
  10. Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham Forest, Leeds, Middlesborough, Ipswich. Trust me.
  11. His brother Mathias plays for Wrexham. Big lad, strong and quick. Still pretty raw, but I reckon he'd be a good player in the future.
  12. This.
  13. Just listened to the interview, he didn't say a lot wrong tbh. He's not going to come out and say that he thinks Crosby is a c*nt though.
  14. Such a pr!ck, hardly set L1 on fire either. Good luck in the future you little tosspot.
  15. This.
  16. This. People are getting their expectations way too high based on what Norwich achieved this season. I'm confident that if we finished between 7th-14th we would be in a good position to strengthen over the next summer and push for promotion.
  17. I think the House of Commons are allowed to discuss anything, including super injunctions. I would have a lot more respect for Giggsy (f*cking sue me) if he came out and just said it was him and that he apologises. The longer this circus goes on, the more damage it's going to do to his reputation and his family. Plenty of people screw around regardless of marital status, if it was me in his position I wouldn't have bothered with this whole super injunction in the first place tbh. Footballers have done a lot worse in the past, and he's certainly not the first footballer to have had an affair.

    Cidre

It is nice actually, it's more apple-y than most other ciders. Wasn't expecting too much when I saw it on the trial run but it's very nice. Might I recommend that you guys try Rekoderlig, a Swedish cider. 4.0% and very sweet, but tasty too. 3 for £5 in ASDA atm if i'm not mistaken.
  19. "Gunmen storm a c*ntlicking military base in the fisting Pakistani city of Karachi, unclef*cking at least 11 people, and taking fomps, including Chinese military officials."
  20. And as for my prediction for the Championship table (assuming Swansea and Huddersfield go up, as I think is most likely) : Birmingham Leicester City ----------------------- Ipswich Town West Ham Nottingham Forest Blackpool ----------------------- Reading Middlesborough Cardiff City Leeds United Burnley Southampton Bristol City Hull City Watford Derby County Millwall Brighton & Hove Albion Crystal Palace Huddersfield Town Barnsley ----------------------- Coventry City P*rtsmouth Doncaster Rovers Automatic I think Birmingham will retain a lot of their squad (some of their bigger players may leave), mainly because they will have money to throw at them to keep them around with their parachute payments and rich owners. Leicester will spend big in the summer and bring in some good players, and with Sven at the helm I reckon they will do well. Play-offs Ipswich will also spend big, and Paul Jewell is a decent manager at this level. They might lose some young players like Wickham, but I reckon they'll finish strongly and snatch 3rd place on the last day. West Ham are in massive financial poo, but they have good young players coming through like Sears, Tomkins, Hines, Nouble etc who will use this season to grow as players. The most important thing for them to do now is to get an experienced manager in who knows what he's doing in the Championship and who can also secure their safety in the Premiership should they go up through the play-offs. Nottingham Forest always seem to be around the play-offs, and I don't think next year will be any different - providing they hang onto Billy Davies. They need 1 or 2 Prem quality signings to bolster their squad (particularly up front) in order to compete with the big teams coming down from the Prem. Blackpool will inevitably lose some key players over the summer, but the money from player sales, their parachute payments and the fact that their owners were very shrewd in the money they spent this season will mean that they will have enough in the bank to bring in a few players good enough to finish in the play-offs. If Charlie Adam goes off to Liverpool or Man Utd (as touted) then they'll get a few good young players on loan from either club as well as a tasty sum. Relegation Coventry are penny-pinching at the moment, and their best player this season (Marlon King) is off as his contract is up and Cov aren't willing to pay him the wages he's wanting. Aside from a few players, their squad is actually pretty poor. A lack of spending will be their downfall imo. We all know about the troubles that P*mpey are going to face next season with numerous players leaving the club and their squad already threadbare as it is. They don't have enough cash to bring in a whole new squad (which is basically what they need to do), and the ageing players in their team - the likes of Kanu - won't be able to cope with a whole season of getting battered. My view is that we'll send them down when we play them at Nottarf Krap in late-April. Doncaster might be an odd choice in some people's views to finish last, but I predict turmoil in their future. Without Sean O'Driscoll, they're a pretty poor team. They spent most of their free cash last summer by bringing in Billy Sharp - who I don't think they'll hang onto for much longer - for £1.1m. The vultures are already circling around the juiciest bits of their team (Coppinger, Stock and Sharp are wanted by numerous clubs) and their inability to replace them with other players of that quality due to a lack of financial clout will ultimately spell doom for them I think. I reckon O'Driscoll will be poached by another Championship club before January - rumour has it that Cardiff are looking at him as Dave Jones' future at the club looks precarious at the moment. And as for Saints... I think the Championship will be a lot stronger next year than people think it will be. Some big teams have missed out on the play-offs this year, some bigger ones have lost in the play-offs and that's not even mentioning the fact that the relegated Prem teams will have pockets stuffed with cash in parachute payments. I don't think many people would argue with a finish of 12th, although plenty of people are talking about automatic and play-offs, so we may have a few disappointed fans come this time next year. I think we'll spend wisely in the summer on players who can progress with the club (not on the likes of Owen) and push for promotion the year after. We have a 5-year plan which takes into account a season to consolidate our position in the Championship and then push for promotion. The important thing is to keep our heads out of the clouds and our feet on the ground. There will be 23 other teams in the division wanting this just as much as we do. Trust in the players, trust in the management and trust in the club. Whew.
  21. [MLG] According to the article that The9 posted, the odds of only 2 teams finishing behind each other in alphabetical order are 380/1. In a league of 20, the odds are 2,432,902,008,176,640,000/1 of an alphabetical finish. In a league of 24 (such as the Championship), they would be even higher. [/MLG]
  22. They need Mourinho back. If they want to win trophies, they need him.
